Broken matchmaking system in lower elo

I ask those who are also being screwed by riot not to purchase a single thing else from skins to champs. Those who play in silver/gold understand this is a watered down system. I'm a player that went from plat back down to silver from endless one sided teams. Last two games played i carry nearly a 10cs/m and everyone else on my team is at 4. Most feed and pick bullshit champs into lanes. This is surreal riot. Fix your damn matchmaking system and pair players properly.

I'd expect someone 2 divisions down to do a little better than 5/3/9

Did you watch any of the games i reference? Even with good positioning, a mid range ad with 2 hard engages and heavy poke can only do so much while other lanes are snowballing.

You're right my macro play sucks. Always have top vision scores, always 100 + when i'm support. Most vision score when i AD as well keeping farsights on objectives when team refuses vision. Wave managment is piss poor as well in slow pushing lanes to force 4v5's. I know nothing of the macro to this game. Someone over half my games have a hard hard feeder or someone that should not be in that game. My skill level is around high gold low plat yet you can't outplay when you have two players split pushing without tp and all 5 bum rushing mid for one example.

I've smurfed from silver and climbed to plat with 70% winrate on multiple occasions across several different accounts. If you are good enough, you will climb its that simple. Message me on League and I can coach you sometime.

Please spectate my games to understand what i'm going through. Today i've had 3 games where we had 2 inhibs down pre 20 minutes. Lanes get their asses annihilated and you can't do anything. Troll picks endlessly on top of that. 2 Games with 5 deaths pre 13 minutes and not a single game has gone by where i haven't doubled someone cs on my team. I play support i get adc's that don't know how to last hit or poke. I play other lanes i get someone who doesn't understand the macro at all. Add me as a friend and watch ranked. IF you can advise me on how to play around teams that troll and feed like no other i'll take whatever advise. Until that point it's continuing to flame riot until they address this.

Blitz in this elo i wouldn't trust as far as i could trust throwing rosie o'donnell into the air. You've looked my stats up so you can see i carry decent kda's on most champs. This includes games where i'm against snowballing lanes screwing my kda. No bullshit 35-40% of my games i have someone on my team absolutely hard feed like no other or can't get 1/3 the cs of the opposing laner. You'll see my stats are packed with endless vision and items proper to champs in that select game. Look through random games of mine and look at early kda's before snowballing really took off. Anyone can understand why i'm livid.

in lower elo, i dont think its the matchmaking that sucks, its just that player skill isnt consistent and any slight thing can make them a god/make them suck and riot cant know who is "in a bad mood" to place them in good matchup, while in higher elo, i dont think its at that lvl (btw im not high elo and never ben in it)

Trust me it's the matchmaking. I've yet to see a game where all 10 players hover around the same skill level. Once riot made the q times lower for the solo laners so they didn't have to face 5-10 minute timers to get into games it watered the system down horribly. Is what it is. Another company that pull some serious bullshit to gain a bigger fan base when the game is slowly going down the drain. Shit, I'm a veteran. I have all the patience in the world. For how they treat their consumers i have no patience for and will tip toe their terms until they violate it then it's full on having fun.

Each new game i start out fresh. Unless i see solo laners both picking AD champs into rammus/mundo then i make sure to let them know to never do that again.

Look at my games online, I lose lane once maybe every 50th game or unless i take a hard camp. Look at teammates paired with. Riot is punishing me for speaking up about their bullshit system. I play on my buddies account at his house who's p3 and i have no problems. games are even. No problems what so ever on his account. Mine, endless bullshit.

Negative. What i'm saying is their current algorithms are shit. Look at players MMR's on any game i've been in on na.op.gg. Vision control, items against laners, Cs scores, objective control. I'm far too used to playing in plat where people understand lane matchups to where they'll just farm under tower if it's not a good lane or they have alot of jg presence. Hell, they understand how to call mia's and buy pink wards too. Something that is quantum physics with what i'm playing with right now. I'm saying if riot wants to pair me with players who are just learning the game and think they know everything and say something dumb, I will not hold back anymore. A proven top 5% player consecutive players to not being able to carry outside due to piss poor matchmaking. Keeping the q times lower in that revamp of the system is what caused this. You can't even deny that.

Ad hominem, strawman arguments, oxymoron is a contradictory statment, e.g. bittersweet, alone together. Basically this argument is a personal attack that derails the current topic in an attempt to "win" the fight by changing the game, and incorrectly defining a phrase.

Also, grind out more games. That's one of the secret to climbing. Playing a lot, not being toxic, learning from your mistakes, and learning how to tilt. Simple

Grind out more games? Na.op.gg. I have a shit ton of games played. Recently, this entire season for that matter i'm taking bullshit pairing. There is no reason i should ever be paired with someone who can't even get 5cs/m. No reason at all. yet, over 50% of my games i have someone. I get hard camped at worse i'm pulling a 6kda no matter the role (minus support of course). When you try to grind out a weekends worth of play and half or more of those games involve people who feed, refuse to work with the team, troll pick, troll in game (steal cs from adc, refuse vision, split push without tp against heavy engage ect....) then we have a problem. I will absolutely excersize my voice to correct this. Sooner or later riot is going to listen to players like me who are absolutely tired of it. Thankfully for me, I can spend weeks upon weeks in a foxhole and have extreme patience for being in an austere condition so I can keep moving through these trolls while making it where these trolls don't play this game again. That or "kindly" ask after looking up their stats that they don't play ranked ever again or at least until the point they understand all champions and macro play. I will be the voice for the players who get dicked hard by riot.

You keel using big words incorrectly. Yeah I'm aware that I'm dropping a red herring type argument into the mix but it irks me. You should hav said "I can spend weeks in a foxhole until a time I can turn the situation to my advantage" What you wrote reads as "I have patients for being patient enough to turn a situation into an advantage." It's really redundant.

THAT SAID, git gud. I'm bronze and know where my faults lie and how to improve them, I just lack the time to. You're silver, and apparently hav the time and skill so go get gud and smear the players worse than you until you start climbing. Grind out games and keep being so opressive that the enemy team has to pay attention to you or risk you snowballing into 1v5 territory. If after a large number of games of this then buddy, I hate to say it but it means you're silver level. You're not above it you're just at your true elo and can't climb until you, again, git gud.

Op.gg has a VERY rough estimate of MMR. I've lost games and had my MMR increase on op.gg.

How can you say the game's algorithms are messed up because they don't line up with a third party estimate?

Not basing soley off what mmr is saying for the game or that player. I'm looking at stats all around. Primarily control wards bought, Cs scores, champs played, time spent in ranked ect... There is a discrepancy that is clear cut that leaves nothing to confusion.

Yeah there are massive problems with low elo matching. I stopped playing the game after a few seasons of the same pattern. Same types of things you are talking about. With the other changes they pretty much eliminated my favorite role as well, so the game just isn't fun anymore. It hasn't been for at least a season and a half honestly. I just thought I could beat it. I couldn't.

Its always a couple good games, like 2, and then it goes to shit.

I like the guys that say they can climb through without an issue. First off they are always like 4 divisions higher than what they are climbing through. Then the game is matched unfairly because they are in it and the system can't account for their skill. daf

Its something about keeping you at a 50% winrate. Instead of bringing you to the higher elo, they bring the higher elo to you- but your team sucks ass still. Not sure how it 'works', but after years of playing this game. Fuck it.

I'm just on here to see things are looking up or anything. I still love the game, you just can't get good games, so its a fucking waste of time. Not to mention all the political bullshit lately. Trolls have all the power and rioters support them leaving us defenseless and fucked while nothing is done about it.

Its a shitshow. Watch virtually any pro streamer and they're are saying similar things even in their elo. Like, what is this game?, or calling it a fiesta. Its well beyond out of hand.

In better news, I don't miss the game at all.

Well said and articulated. I'm rather used to people blindly following what riots "said in their FAQ's" as being factual without no verification. Quite refreshing seeing a different perspective but with identical outcomes.

If you read my post and didn't go any further back i'll give you this much. When i was plat, I found out i had a diamond friend who lived in my town "who is now currently master tier". I allowed him to play on my account per being asked from someone in a professional field (Cannot specify this), and he got his ass whooped three consecutive games. 3 different reasons cost those games but fact of the matter when i was in G5 and a master tier couldn't carry himself out of it shows something extremely fishy. It was from that point forth i started looking into riot and questioning their methods.

On some other notes:

I don't think the problem should be approached as a 'riot' problem. Its not about them, its about playing a game we enjoy, its about having fun. I don't care if its riot or a monkey running the show. They can do whatever they want.

If they want to chase money, fine. Want to totally change the direction of the game and turn it into a third-person shooter, ok. Its your thing, do whatever you want. I want to ignore the entity and focus on the product.

I don't think anyone is designing the game with the intent to create a toxic environment or frustrate people. I don't think the balance team intended to have dmg get insanely out of hand. They didn't intend to virtually delete the adc role. They don't intend to frustrate their playbase and have mismatched unfun games.

They did, but they aren't doing it on purpose. Not that it matters, but the goal is to make league great again... not shit on those that accidentally made it suck.

The reason the playerbase shits on the balance team and so on, is because they feel unheard. Its been numerous patches and the game doesn't feel good. The game we used to love is no longer fun. The leaders are making bad moves, the followers are complaining, and the leaders continue to make bad moves as if we don't exist.

There is a similar model in the game itself. This is why the game is so toxic. Matchmaking is terrible, this frustrates players, it doesn't feel as though its being fixed and this frustration comes out in various toxic ways throughout the playerbase. Its not because moba players are toxic or more competetive or something- its because the game actually has frustrating things happening and the playerbase feels unheard.

When people feel unheard, they should louder, if that doesn't work they take action. They boycott, they riot, they stop playing and watching, they do something. The game has a loyal fanbase of players that have played a very long time, and seen the game become something phenomenal. They were a part of it. They feel like they are part of it- but now it seems to be turning sour. Passionate, invested, competitive people, don't give up easily.

Which is why you and I still play the game when all of our friends have quit. Well, I mean I quit now- but I played for about 1.5years after all my friends stopped. I even re-tried lately with a friend, and there are just very poor obvious problems with the game. So we stopped playing, it just simply wasn't fun.

Anyways, my main point is that I don't think anyone is intending to hurt the game; and we need to act like that. Riot needs to solve some serious problems in healthy ways. Policing chat is not healthy. Controlling people is not healthy. Making them feel unheard is not healthy.

So far the approaches have been terrible. I know for a fact that if I quit... there were a thousand people that quite before I did. Perhaps more. I'm extremely stubborn, extremely. I should've quit when my friends quit.

I feel your pain man. Gold/silver should not have these kinds of players but I get them literally every single game in silver. Its impossible. I can get first blood, first dragon, first tower, mini baron, have mid and top ahead 2/0 from my ganks, continue to go positive all game and still lose. Its literally impossible and frustrating. Its no wonder so many are quitting. I hate to be the negative attitude guy but at this point its just plain ridiculous.

Not to mention the more you lose, the more lp your lose with each loss and less lp you gain with each win. Making it damn near impossible to climb. Pretty sure riot hates me and wants me to stay silver for ever.
