Why can't Lee Sin's Q be as healthy as blitzcranks?

I was thinking to myself when I thought about something: I actually love going against blitzcranks. When I see a blitz speeding 100 miles per hour at me, a sense of excitement rushes through me, because at that point it's a mindgame between you and the blitz. When you outsmart the blitz (or even thresh), you're pretty much safe for a while and the chase on you would end.

Lee Sin on the other hand? Dodge his Q and he'll still follow you because it's on such a relatively short cooldown, and you know he's just going to keep fishing for Q's until he manages to land one. Not to mention he already has a reliable gapcloser. Why not make lee sin's Q cd longer so dodging it actually meant something? You can compensate by increasing the range because it is pretty short.

Edit 2 Let me clarify: prediction is a healthy mechanic. Blitz Q can be easily predicted and avoided. Lee sin's Q can also be predicted and avoided. The difference is that Lee sin's Q can miss more than twice as much as blitz' pull. Lee sin can still chase forever and you can say "it's hard to land" as much as you want but it doesn't matter if he can spam it until he lands AND gets to decide if he wants to go in or not.

Not like me clarifying will make a difference. Already at -3, the bandwagoners will make their rounds and there will be nothing left of this topic

there are 2 main problems with lee sins Q:

  1. he has too much freedom to decide weither to follow up or not because he has a long duration of time in which he can follow and he gets significant vision on you

  2. there is too little counterplay to his second Q. sure he needs to hit the first one but then he can simply decide not to follow up. its a win-win for him.

i have 2 possible solutions for this, i would probably implement both at the same time:

  1. he only has 1 second time to decide weither he wants to follow or not so he can either follow instantly or he cant anymore

  2. he hits the first champion he collides with, so you can block for your allies and defend them from getting flashkicked.

for easy quick balance, i'd say lets use the first option while for more counterplay and clarity, lets use the second one. generally speaking and considering how oppressive lee sins presence is, lets use both tho.

I like this idea more

Also why the downvotes for comparing to blitz? I don't even own blitz and I think he's easy to play around.

It must be Opposite Day in OPLand.

Because blitzcrank Q puts his target in danger, Lee Sins Q puts him in danger.

lee sins Q gives him vision on the target and the choice to go in or not. there is literally zero downside to hitting your Q ever.

There is a huge downside for business majors...they aren't smart enough to know when not to go in with 2nd Q.
