If DFG was removed for balancing issues...
What other items are next? Why should they leave?
PS, but now I feel bad for pentakill.

My question is if DFG was removed for balancing issues, why was it's concept reintroduced to Fizz's ult? If the other reason to remove it was to be able to balance champions without having to throw DFG into the equation, why just GIVE IT BACK? I was hoping for some new and exciting changes, not just DFG 2.0

i think the idea is that as an item, DFG represented a power spike that you couldn't balance in a champions kit. this is because anybody could buy it, and it was purchased at varying times during a game.
by putting it in an actual champions kit and removing the item itself, you can smooth out the power spikes a little better and force that champion to use their full kit for assassinations rather than saving their escape and using DFG as a 5th ability.
Well, DFG's effect works on Fizz, specifically... The reason they took it out was because it isn't healthy when it's built on champions like LeBlanc, Ahri, Syndra, etc. Heck, even AP Malphite was a thing, pretty much solely because of this item.
They never said it was unhealthy for EVERYONE. They said it's unhealthy for the game. The concept is fine on certain champions, but not on others, so allowing those others to build it leads to a bad situation. Do you not agree that this could be the case? Or are you saying it just isn't the case here?
I definitely agree that it was unhealthy on some but not on others. I can't argue with your logic but will say that specifically in Fizz's case I do not like it being added to his ultimate. It's made them balance his other abilities around it and his gameplay now relies too heavily on it. I think it's very unhealthy for Fizz players because he's almost completely reliant on it now and every change from here on out will have that damage boost on his ult considered just like DFG was for certain champions.
Fair enough. I have similar concerns. Playing against Fizz since the changes, if I am able to save flash until he tries to ult me, I can survive. I interpreted that, at the time, as counterplay, but you may be right that he's too reliant on it. Do you think it would help if it were lowered to 10% or so?
To be honest I'm uncertain what would help in regards to how Riot would balance him. I'm sure making the amplification lower would allow free space elsewhere. I would say using flash is counterplay, and with mobility being a prominent feature in today's meta, dashes being able to not only dodge the ult but his Q, and the slow movement of the skillshot in general having flash too doesn't really help his case.
I don't think this is going to become a trend... DFG is not a healthy item. People who needed it were pretty much forced to build it; they couldn't function without it since they had to be balanced around it. It's not a good item. Personally, I can't think of another item that it that bad for balance, so I don't expect to see others removed.
