thornmail and sunfirecape need to be buffed.

I just had a match with sion. about 300 armor. sunfire cape and thornmail. and that vayne was going through me like a hot knife through butter. she had life steal. but i mean the damage thornmail and the cape is pathetic. their lifesteal does like triple what you deal in damage from these two items. its really pathetic. we need better anti- adc items for tanks. or buff these two because this is all we have and vayne was killing me. even the extra rmor wouldn't build up my damage reisstance at all because its so high already and i die in seconds to vayne. few shots. she didn't even have armor penetration

I agree, low interaction damage/tank items should instantly kill any auto attack reliant champion for even daring to try to mark the tank master race.

nope but at least be meaningful. not completely no effect in late game.

Nope, working as intended. Also armor got largely buffed thanks to Last Whisper changes (which was overall a net nerf. Takes a lot of armor on the enemy to match the old penetration values.)

If anything, Thornmail needs nerfed (or deleted) since if you aren't Vayne or mixed damage, you are completely shut down by massive armor stacking and can't hit that champion period, not even with tons of lifesteal and Last Whisper.
