TP vs Ignite on mid

Personally I usually take TP in mid. I started taking TP as Xerath, cause you dont want to get close enough to ignite alot of the time, it seemed like a more useful skill.

Playing with that for a while got me taking TP on all my mids now though.

I feel the increased map presence (Faster back to lane from a Back, gank potential, jump to a single lane pusher to save a tower or to your own pusher to take a tower) is worth more overall and to the team. It has many more uses the ignite does, and TP's can help the whole team more then an ignite does.

As far as ignite, I dont find myself in as many situations where an ignite actually secures the kill. Sometimes yeah it does, but alot more its just a supplement to an all in attempt or sometimes a fail'd ignite. Usually if im getting a kill, its going to happen one way or another. If I dont get the kill, even one ignite woulda given me, I'm just as happy sending them back and pushing lane or getting ahead/catching up on CS.

Just my opinion

Faster back to lane from a Back

this is a bad reason to take TP. Also your becoming dependent on TP and not managing your waves correctly. Its not wrong to take TP on some mid laners. The fact its becoming default is probably making you a worse player.

Most all of what you said is in fact incorrect. You pick one thing from a list I gave and try to make it my focus. I said it has many uses, that happens to be one of them. Sometimes you have to B early. I didnt say I B every time tp is up. It doesnt lead to me going B any more often at all actually. Nor does me taking TP have anything to do with my waves. I assume again you think I'm going back all the time.

Please dont comment if you dont understand.\ and are going to cherry pick my entire post for one thing and blow it out of context.

actually not incorrect, taking TP just to back faster is always wrong. You are sacrificing kill and threat pressure so you can fall back and get back in lane. Your other reasons are fine though risky. You are developing a play style habit that is hurting you even though you do not see it.

Your bronze 4 for a reason. Listen and learn. I have gotten gold every year since season 2. I know what i am talking about and actually you do not. This is not div shaming, this is just facts. You are a prefect example of a low elo player thinking they know, when in reality you do not.

As Mordekaiser I take Flash and Teleport/Cleanse/Exhaust both mid and top. Never ignite.

It's all about your playstyle. Ignite can be very useful early on in the game, get a first blood and another kill, farm the lane and you wont need to at all you will be a one man team by yourself. Also ignite is good when you are 1 v1 an ADC as you cut down their lifesteal.

Id say if you are in solo q tp can be very useful however if you are playing coordinated game and everyone knows their role, ignite is better. I'd say get used to ignite as a mid laner

I've used ignite forever as mid, I didnt forget how to use it. I just prefer TP more. I find more use for TP every single game, where as ignite not so much, and to less global effect.

And I dont play anything but solo, dont have a crew to play with

Depends on the situation take for example if you go Katarina / Akali but get countered hard then screw taking Ignite take teleport instead hit 6 and roam / get ahead other ways, then go back after you are ahead of your mid laner and kill the person who no longer counters you because you got fed.

Sometimes Ignite is better vs Fiddlesticks / Swain as an example but summoner 1 is also good in some situations for example vs Veigar

Yeah. I did say usually. If they have a ton of team sustain or something, or dive assasins like zed/akali/kat I'd likely ignite. I didnt stop using it, I just mainly dont. And none of those champs are currently ones im playing much of
