Can we have Ryze's ult+zhonya's escape route made available again

This used to be one of the fun things about Ryze. Would make him better in lower elos too, where people don't really know how to use his ult except to escape. Right now, speaking as a silver player, it seems he's not really viable in our elo, with all the nerfs due to pro play. That's sad. I would honestly love to see this champ, and a few others, such as Ivern and Kalista get played more, perhaps with some niche buffs/changes to make them more appealing, so that low-elo players who make up most of the player base can play them too.

Riot, you spend thousands of hours and even more money and effort to create these champs. Please give us the chance to enjoy them, so that we don't waste your efforts. Don't let 0.01% of pro players ruin these champions for 99.99% of us.

To solve this, just give pros a few more bans.

I love playing Ryze myself. And i'm a silver player to boot. But the biggest weakness to him isn't the Zhonya's/ult escape combo. It's the fact that he's a scaling champ and requires a lot of time and a lot of lucky kills before he can really dish out the damage. But unfortunately, 90% of silver brains can't comprehend scaling and will just flame you for not dealing 700 damage while only holding a Tear.

I actually think his damage is fine, as long as you were able to cs well early, and you make it to late. It's the fact that there have been depressingly few Ryze players who can actually ult efficiently. Ryze players in silver usually either never use it, or do it to get somewhere faster instead of making gamechanging plays/securing objectives. It's basically Tahm's ult without the range on it, or the CD, and I feel like most people use it as well as a wet noodle in a sword fight.

his early game is by far his weakest. majority of silver's expect him to do as much damage as Fizz lvl 3. but because he can't he's normally the poster child for jungle camps almost as much as Teemo or Nasus . and dying to repeated turret dives without your jungler trying to force another objective (which is almost every solo queue game) just makes your other solo laners rage quit at 5min

Ryze being called a high skill champion is not for nothing. It is not just that he scales, he has considerable outplay potential in both micro and macro. You can take note of your jungler or other lanes, as well as focused vision to manipulate waves at will and keep the flow in what favor you wish. He scales very well, but after Tear -- he has massive capability in purely outplaying an opponent on either or both fronts as well as outrotating earlier because of how you plan with the tools available to you. Not to mention his wonderful gank assisting.

He needs damage buffs to minions (a revert) or champions early can be a case, but he has too many combinations of too many other nuanced game mechanics that make experienced players, and especially intelligent Ryze players, an absolute menace as the ladder gets higher because the buff is a quality he does not need to possess to control his area of the game state. It just enhances every quality almost exponentially.

That being said, buff Ryze damage anyway, I want it Ryze .

so i guess after ryze buys zhonya he should be allowed to misposition 24/7 then? Because that's what happened when this interaction was alive.

Ryze splitpushes, 2 people come close to ryze, he clicks r+zhonya, he's safe. Repeat until you'll get inhibitor

Honestly I agree with this one, he should be playable again. His early game is trash, also his mid game. Having something to keep him alive would be nice for a change ,since he automatically loses to any champ that buys magic res or out ranging him
