@Riot: Would a "Stealth-on-ally" mechanic still be forbidden?

I remember a long time ago that I put forth the idea of having a Support Champion who could put a brief stealth effect on an ally, but it was seen as game-breaking because of its interactions with initiators like Malphite or Amumu. Well, with how Stealth has been reworked, I want to know if it'd still be broken, even if a stealth-on-ally only lasted for, say, 1 second.

I don't really want something like Master Yi getting into melee range with no warning.

What if it only lasted 1 second? That wouldn't make it useful for setting up ganks or initiates, but more as a way to help an ally reposition during a teamfight.

I don't know if you realize how long a single second can be in Lol. In one second, a Yi would have plenty of time to ult, flash in and Q someone, appearing out of nowhere in the middle of their team, doing rampage as they have an extremely low reaction time. Sure, putting allies into stealth could be fun, but it might be very irritating to play against.

Yi waits in bush, Janna makes him invisible, he pops ult and runs out at you. Now open a stopwatch and count one second, imagine that.

Probably since stealth is really strong, and champions have to be balanced around having it. Since this person theoretically gives everyone stealth, everyone has to be balanced around the idea that they might be invisible at some point.
