What is the point of increasing ambient gold and making shutdowns global?

You are rewarding players for doing literally nothing, while still snowballing your team. Now it is easier than ever to shut down solo carries and make them pay for trying to hold their team together against the odds (which is quite common in a comeback) and snowball the lanes that aren't even involved in the fighting. Seems to me like this is just even more team snowballing while reducing solo carry potential.

Solo carry potential isn't often seen on a winning team; on winning teams, everyone seems to be nearly invincible this patch. Solo carrying is often seen on losing teams, where it is one person holding the team together against the odds, calling the shots and trying to get the team back into things. I've been in the solo carry position too many times to imagine including a 4v5 in a promo game (won it too). Those were some of the most tense and exciting games of my career.

Well fear no more, bros who only care about winning but got stomped in lane, those annoying solo carries in your way are now just walking moneybags for your own team's fed guys who now can spoonfeed you gold from the safety of your fountain while they do the dirty work.

I'm happy shut down gold is shared now since sometimes people steal the shut down kill in solo queue. It also lets the team catch up as a whole. Its really boring for one teammate to carry the whole game too. I hate when I don't get to participate in team fights since the Yasuo 12/0/0 already got a penta before I even saw the fight.

so you'd rather have "if 1 of my lanes lose and the other 2 go even, it is gg"?

The idea is to reward the team. And keeping in mind that they removed the Assist streak.

And the Solo Carries are usually the champs that Board most complain about. (usually duelists like Fiora)

So I guess you want it so that if your starts losing, no amount of contribution from you can make a comeback possible. If 2 of your lanes lose just a little and you don't absolutely crush your lane to the point they AFK, that your team has lost the entire game and might as well /ff 20 or "gg open mid". Great to know.
