So Riot FINALLY touched Karma, but in a completely wrong way

So her root gets an increased duration at early levels.

Problem is it STILL is really bad. The problem from the start is the low range and that Karma has to stick around the target for too long. Increasing the root duration a little won't change that. I'd rather see it getting a buff in the range.

I disagree. Karma's Heal on W well compensates for all the points you are trying to push. I've played her for 6 seasons, and here's my opinion:

  1. Since the damage increase in game has begun to prevent her from actually countering counters (Yasuo Warwick ) The largest problem in these conflicts is..... she dies due to the early game short duration nature of W's root, more than she dies to damage done. Early game.... she has no problem surviving long enough to proc it. But..... if it's ineffective, she dies, and then late game she has no opportunity to survive long enough. If she doesn't die. she's going to pull in a few more kills on average, and her snowball is going to be a little more possible.

  2. I play Karma in ALL roles, especially Jungle. The root increase is going to give her more survivability there too, since it works on neutral minions.

  3. She's going to be a Yasuo counter in mid lane again. 1.4+ Sec root to a turret dive WILL kill him, where the 1 second root wouldn't. This means indirectly a good Karma base population is going to result in a lower Yasuo Toxicity.

It's just a buff to hold on until or soon to come rework (probably in a couple months).

The increased root duration will help.

There are two ways to look at it:

  1. Either they made the root easier to hit, but kept the power of the root the same, or
  2. Make the root more powerful, but keep it as difficult as it is to hit.

Both ways are fine. The way they chose helps land w into RQ (both procs) against champions with dashes. Also better self peel/utility as a support.

It’s just a bandaid buff, give them time
