Suggestion: Remove Towers

At this point they seem like a pointless hindrance and go against Riot's new philosophy of encouraging quick and decisive games. Some newer players might be fooled into thinking that towers are actually something important that need to be defended, but they don't realize that with objectives on both sides of the map it's impossible to defend and contest every objective and no matter what you do you're always leaving something important open to be taken. As a result, it's usually pointless to defend those paper-mache sticks in the ground.

I say we remove towers and instead implement a force field around the bases. Once a team reaches a three kill lead, the forcefield is removed from the opposing team's base, exposing the fragile inhibitors. This would remove most of the pointless tedium preventing winning teams from closing out their games, while doing very little to actually change the way the game currently plays out.

It's the preseason, a bunch of things are subject to change, riot has generally listened to their community when you guys endlessly rant on the boards, I mean, they changed mordekaisers title to something more metal relevant when it was 'The god of death' or something like that.

Or when the harrowing was delayed because they wanted to do something different, but the community didn't like that, so they decided to release it a bit later than usual, but they still did.

It'll all be fixed in the end, i mean those points are valid, but it's not like they've been ranted 100 times on the boards already. 'at the beginning of the game, the towers protect you, later in the game, you protect the towers'

Towers don't even protect you though, at any point in the game. People can just hit you under tower from outside of tower range with abilities and auto attacks, and they hardly do anything to protect you from tower dives. This was OK though because at least they used to be tougher. They were still brittle, but at least for the first 10 or 15 minutes they could take a decent amount of damage and be fine.

Now if someone accidentally sneezes in their direction they crumble to bits. I had a game yesterday where I was Katarina, I had to back at around 8 minutes into the game and TPed straight back to mid after healing up, and my tower had already lost 60% of it's health in that amount of time. Later in that game I was doing roughly 400 damage on auto attacks to their inhibitor turrets with only like 3 or 4 items.

This post was facetious but honestly at this point I'm pretty convinced that the game really wouldn't change very much if they actually implemented my sarcastic suggestion. Towers feel completely useless right now, they only thing they actually accomplish is soaking up a few minion waves in an unattended lane before they collapse.

This is actually a valid point and should he discussed. I could see this happening (probably only outer ones though).

Except the force field part lol.
