Many people who queue as support are playing with dynamic groups and there is already a major support shortage so doing this while having only solo queue would create a very big support lacking problem.
Teémò1 votesIt's more that the supports have to play in games where the mmr is mixed up in other words they are the only high mmr person in their group who are premaded so the mmr is inflated inflating the enemy mmr and ensuring that you have a higher losing % rate just locking in support then you do if you locked in top or mid.
Playing with dynamic groups though, that's not really true as the majority of them want top mid or jungle, nobody wants support for the reason above.

In silver anyway it seems every other game has a premade bot lane and also wouldnt supports have the closest to target mmr since it is so easy to group them with the huge support shortage (literally queue times of 2-10 seconds)
Teémò1 voteswell for me I think if you were a regular 50% win rate support you would get people more closer to you, but for me having 70-80 win rate when your support means another player on the opposite side has to match your mmr/ winrate meaning someones gonna lose lane, and or top and mid may have inflated mmr's based on this.
So your trying to play against people who you already know will be up in farm against your laners and they will probably get kills off them too.
Well you have limited gold. So you need to play a carry support to try and dominate the lane and get fed and prey to teemo that your adc will be worthwhile and not just sit in the back like a ezreal who will throw some damage out, but never the damage source to 1 vs 1 an olaf.
The only upside to this however Is your probably going to have better vision map control. Totally bury that blue/ red side with wards. Even when I'm top lane I like to grab a sight stone as we progress so I can take over their side of the map and really be that annoying teemo player.
