@Meddler: Can we talk about the state of Ashe?
Ashe's kit, for the most part, is obsolete. She was originally meant to be the expy of the Drow Ranger from DotA with her slowing autoattacks, but that slow is about as useful as a minion nowadays. About 80% of the roster has some way to beat Ashe, whether by gap-closing or just shooting her back at the same distance she's firing from. The only thing it seems to work for now is when your opponent tries to run, not when you are trying to kite someone. 35% slow per shot is NOT effective enough against opponents who can easily outrun you or can just jump to you.
No mobility on her? No reliable self-peel? No chance in hell in this meta. If your teammate isn't Alistar and doesn't immediately Headbutt your attacker, you're automatically dead. No amount of orb-walking is going to keep that guy off your royal ass.
Then you have her passive, which is far too situational and is actually punishing for her to manage in early laning. It encourages you to NOT shoot, NOT last-hit, and NOT be aggressive. Aren't those against your own design rules? The only thing Focus is useful for is Statikk Shiv, something she's outperformed at by Yasuo (don't go "Different Champions", they're both crit-heavy).
Then there's her E, Hawkshot, which is now outperformed by both Quinn and Kalista. Hawkshot doesn't reveal much while on its flight path, has a bad cooldown, and its passive is both weak and does not make sense in terms of her theme. What power is Ashe using to get extra gold off things she kills? A Midas Touch? Where the hell did that come from?
And last, there's her ultimate, the ONLY thing keeping her relevant in today's game. And unfortunately, it's where 90% of her power is located. ECA is arguably the most powerful ultimate in the game, giving her a global-range initiate that can make or break a game. But with the introductions of Yasuo and Braum, its power has become extremely hampered since it can be completely negated.
The problem, Meddler, is that you and the other Rioters overestimate Ashe's utility. It might have been good in the past, but now it's not strong enough because it has elements of poor counterplay. Ashe's permaslow? One tap and you're slowed, so it has to be weak. Volley? Easy to hit with and spammable, so it has to deal crap damage. 600 range? Ashe can't get good attack wind-ups or she'll orbwalk too much! The list goes on!
So tell me, is there any hope for Ashe in the future? Or should she retire from the League and concentrate on cooking Tryndamere's next meal?
TL;DR Summary? Nope, read it!
