More champion masteries

Are we ever going to get more champion masteries? Unless I'm mistaken, there was talk about adding more champion masteries but so far nothing. I get there are way more important things to deal with but I just wanted to know if this idea was scrapped.

I'd like an actual reward for it, such as the champion's icon as a summoner icon, or special skin - I'd settle for a shitty recolor.
