my enemy just strolled out of q range and laughed as he beat me to death and spammed laugh as my passvie came up and tickled him

Nail em with your E first, without a mobility skill or a flash you can catch alor of people for most the Q charge.

Walking sideways is easier, but you can let go Q any pint and still do some damage, and it only takes a moment to get the stun off.

Not to mention when you see him raise a big giant axe you panic a little inside and just want to run away.

Sion isn't about his laning phase anyways, and I've never (until now) even heard people talking about it.

His lane phase is pretty meh against almost every matchup, it is just that as the game goes on he can get so tanky that it doesn't really matter how he did in lane unless he died like 10 times.

True enough, I mainly meant recently (the past 2 months ish). I didn't elaborate too well on that.

As someone that plays squishies, his minion push thing is on a low cooldown, does a lot of damage, and is difficult to reliably dodge. Pain in the ass champion.
