Let's pool up all our current opinions about Season 6.
I'm speaking from my experience as someone who has played since Season 2.
Note that I am not saying that the below is objective truth; I'm merely asking to compare my findings with yours.
Here we go:

AD Assassins like Zed and Kha'Zix started out so horribly that they needed to get buffs and an item suited directly for them. And they would have been buffed more if they didn't have that item coming.

Marksmen are very, very strong. This season is the best season for ADCs in a VERY long time.

Tanks are still dealing above-average amounts of damage while being impossible to kill, all with only a small amount of items.

Rift Herald is a worthwhile distraction from laning in the early game if you have enough help to get it. However, the gold is never worth it. I believe the real power behind it is the buff. And even then, it's only good for co-ordinated teams, which means Rift Herald is mostly designed for the LCS.
