Add warding stats to end of game stats grid

Currently we have to go to our browser, look up our match history, click in and click stats to see our ward distribution. For a game that relies so heavily on vision for success, I think this stat should be added to the grid in client for reference. Isn't such an issue in higher elo however for those trying to climb it's a good way of checking to see if you warded enough or if you could have done more; win or lose.

But I don't want people to know I'm a terrible support..

I feel like that stat may be misleading though. While supporting definitely takes a lot of wards to do the job correctly, you also need to be placing them in the correct spots, which is very different from quantity obviously.

Not saying it shouldn't be added, but if it is, I feel like there should be a footnote to go with it.

Could be misleading - however when you see a jungle or a top laner that has placed 4 wards in a 25 minute game.. there are issues.

When there's a jungler that places 4 wards and never trades out yellow trinket in a 56 minute game...

There's a problem. Meanwhile, I've got 62 wards as our team's jungler. -_-

The same is true of every other stat. Lots of gold? What use is that if you build shitty items. Lots of damage? Maybe you're focusing the tank all the time. Who knows. Stats are just that - their usefulness is limited. Number of wards is just like the rest.

Just another reason to flame people in post-game chat. The stats are available online.

No, I don't think this will be pursued.

Yeah... it's annoying to look at wards when you need to click so much, but whatever. I've got 0.9 - 1.1 wards per minute in the jungle and roughly .4 - .5 wards per minute in the lane. For low elo, that's usually a jungler places 2x as many wards as the support.

Been asking for this for a long time. Another thing Riot ignores. Don't count on it.

the value of vision is extremely difficult to track and as such it would be a horrible indicator

Like my Wardscore is apparently extreme

but I know for a fact that a large number of the wards I stick down don't see any value- in particular, I constantly ward dragon as support, making sure it has near 95% uptime vision (while alive) on that objective for the first 20 minutes (then usually I start splitting my focus between warding up baron and dragon). And I usually stick a pink ward somewhere in allied jungle (usually to monitor a buff camp or otherwise on our side of the jungle to monitor a lane)

But in a large number of cases, I'm putting down wards when they aren't even necessary, like when the enemy jungler shows up on at top lane, so the tri-bush wards I keep placing and sweeping are completely pointless.

And unlike KDA or gold income, you can artificially boost ward score by randomly putting wards down in locations where they would serve no purpose providing vision.

Personally I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't need some score to know that you did well as a support. Winning the game because you know for a fact you pulled out the clutch shield/heal/stun/engage at the right time is all you need to know to confirm you did well (and all you should care about).

This isn't necessarily about support, though to address some of your points:

If your ward is constantly being swept it is still doing it's job. They can't sweep again for some time and you can replace the ward to keep vision. Now they can't sweep somewhere else - baron/drag for instance.

Yes you can boost your wards by just randomly placing them - that's also not the point. If you're looking to see if you've done well as say a TOP/JUNG and you see that you've only placed 5 wards in a 30 minute game and didn't place a pink, perhaps you will know to do better in the next game.

Vision on Drag at any point in the game is not pointless. There are many champs that can solo drag at lvl 6. That would leave them super low so having a ward on drag at that point would give you an almost guaranteed kill.

I've been checking my ward counts after nearly every game to ensure I'm placing a nearly comparable amount to my supports (~50-60% being a good indicator since they get 4 per back and I stack 2 per xAmount of time). Sometimes, particularly when I play top lane, I ward significantly less than that and when I check I realize I could have done better. Thus making a conscious decision the next time I play top to ward more.
