you though riven could go annoying ... at least she needs to go in your face and take a risk to win ... she can fail

meanwhile gnar boomerang with low cooldown that slows ofc no resource cost ... so meele combatant will never get to gnar a magic damage ofc % hp and ofc no cooldown just 3 hits which is like a second when gnar knows what an auto atack reeset is ofc a movement speed buff so you wont get close ofc a jump ... that doesnt require a target and can bounce even further

meet a stupid gnar who doesnt play this champion often ... you have a chance but meet a good gnar who knows what he does .... you are out of options whatever you pick

try ganking him and that might even fail

and then there is mega gnar

while the former could destroy you from range and had tools that make it impossible to get close this one is slower but hits harder and gets hard cc ... so when you can hurt him he is impossible to catch but when he can hurt you he is impossible to run away

BUT THE FKING MS BOOST WHEN HE GETS TO BE MINI GNAR AGAIN

you work ... you try ... you strategize and abuse whatever you can ... but this guy just has nothing that his enemies can use and win vs him

his entire kit is devoted to lack counterplay

  1. Dodge his boomerangs. If you stand behind minions he can't hit you (unless you completely ignore it), as the boomerang will slow down upon hitting the first target.
  2. Never fight against Mega Gnar unless you're significantly ahead. (I would say atleast 2 kills ahead + ahead in CS)
  3. Gnar is strong early game. He will also turn into Mega Gnar around lvl 3 which gives him some lost health back. So trading early game is futile unless you think you can kill him.
  4. Try to get harassed by his AA as little as possible. You'll often have to sacrifice a few cs early game unless you have a strong early game champ.
  5. Once level 6, most champions can beat Mini Gnar easily. Careful if his bar is nearly full, though. Mega Gnar becomes a lot stronger at 6.

The way I play against him as wukong is playing safe early game, until he has transformed once. After that, you can trade after he threw and missed his boomerang. If he doesn't, continue to play safe. At level 6 or 7 you can trade whenever his bar is under 60-70%, potentially killing him or forcing to back/turret hugging.
