Can we do some work on Azir?

Can we just abandon his 'concept' of being able to do everything? It's simply not healthy for the game, so please don't try. Yes he's weak, but if he gets ahead and the player is decent, it's basically GG because he can carry his team incredibly hard and leaves very little you can do against him, because of his lack of weaknesses.

Getting half healthed from insane range by someone with self peel and mobility is just bullshit. Sure he has a hard time getting to the point where he can half health you... but if he does... yeah

I'd like an increase on his Q's cooldown. Currently it's a burst tool and a soldier repositioning tool, it's cooldown is low enough to do both even with 0 CDR. It makes it really hard to deal with him, because even if you jump on him and his soldiers are so far away, his Q just comes back up and you're fucked.

omg azir got fed and now can 1/2 hp me. Too bad syndra doesnt even need to be fed and she can 2/2 hp you with a single ability. Or ahri can 2/2 you with auto targeted attacks. Or Lucian..... (i can keep going)

Azir needs to actually be ahead to do much. Sure when he is ahead he is amazing..... but other champions are even better when equally ahead and Would be even further ahead if they got the small lead.

TLDR: azir is fine

bullshit. Anyone with a brain knows that Azir isn't fine and needs a rework. Just because he's been crippled now does't mean he needs work.

He is a fun champion to play and isnt blatantly oppressive. Ive seen some good Azir players recently and they are monsters. Its scary. But you have to be AMAZING on the champion to actually get any use out of him. Thats the way it should be. He is weak for shit players but incredible for amazing players. While he could use a tiny bit of work I think he is actually in a pretty decent spot. He could use some of his Utility on his W back but thats it.

Too bad he is always a monster in LCS whenever he is remotely viable, completely crowding out other champions from being picked.

He's a difficult but rewarding champion. Look at Yasuo before e nerf, difficult to play well, but very strong if played well.

It's not about getting 1/2'd. It's about getting 1/2'd with absolutely nothing I can do about it.

That's actually not true.

For example, Syndra has no mobility and is fucked if multiple champions get on her. Her wide AoE is rather lacking, and she can only kill multiple people if she survives for a long time or if they're clumped. And she has no mobility and a decent peel ability to do so.

Lucian has no CC, period, and he's mostly single target damage.

Ahri sucks (to face when shes fed) but again her AoE is limited to her Q, and her self peel can only hit one person. Her mobility is also on her ult.

Not to mention all of these champions need to get within moderate range to do anything.

I can go on. Everyone else has weaknesses. Azir was literally built without them.

TLDR: azir is fine

Then... why is he in the gutter waiting for a rework?

Actually if he attacks you, it's like kiting but your mouse travels WAY more. He can easily be caught off guard by that.

Azir is weak at the moment. But if you still getting owned by a good azir, try to imagine what it would be like if that player mastered a meta champion to the extend that he mastered azir. A good player deserves to win.

But... what if I'm better? To hell with that. What if my teammates are better? That's the literal definition of solocarry. If Riven could do the same, she'd be gutted like Azir is. But she can't.

A fed Azir just has 0 risk and high reward.

0 risk? really? look at ANY assassin or ANY high mobility melee carries, and generally, they can destroy him UNLESS the Azir is good. Zed is a HUGE pain in the but for Azir. He's got 3 ways to get past wall. w,r, and flash. Even if he doesn't, his main damaging ability is ranged.

0 risk, definitely.

Zed maybe has 3 ways past the wall. Well, he spends one getting past Azir's dash, Youmuu's is basically invalidated by Q slow, same with Edge of Night. Oh, and how about the Sejuani? Hmm... what about the Janna?

Imagine a Caitlyn, except with even more range and reliable slows, and reliable hard CC. That's Azir.

"player is decent" he says, This is the most difficult champion, IN THE GAME. takes more than decent skill with him to do well. All "top hardest champions" lists feature him very close to or at first. "He can carry his team incredibly hard", Azir builds' power spikes come in near mid-late game. For example, my spike in my build comes in after I get Void Staff, after I get Nashor's (Second best item on Azir), Berserker's (Bjergsen takes this) and Rylai's (First best Item on Azir). "I'd like an increase on his q cooldown", His base cdr at max lv is 6. With 45% cdr, it's 2.7 seconds. No. That is sufficient time to expect where his next q will go. People these days need to use their brains to play the game, not just their hands. They just mindlessly click buttons and complain, instead of making an effort to expect, predict, prepare, and execute. Also, if he DOES get fed, you kinda can't argue that he's busted based off of that. That's like saying, "Oh my god, this athlete was force fed steroids, he's too good" or "Oh my god, this dumber kid had so many resources to study off of, but this smart kid had nothing to study off of. The dumber kid got a great mark, he should go to a genius school". NO. It's REALLY easy to not feed an Azir. His soldiers, btw last less time under turrets. You should be fine.

2.7 seconds is NOWHERE NEAR enough time to abuse his soldiers. 6 seconds isn't either, hell, that's a low as fuck cooldown.

I mean, it's enough once you get into range, but Azir has double your range with a 1 second 25%+ slow every 2.7-6 seconds.

Shut up, shut up, shut up. Yes Azir takes skill. Does that mean a skilled Azir should dominate an equally skilled opponent? Because that's exactly what he does against medium-low range champions, with little to no room to play against him.

You think Yasuo removes agency? Imagine being kept at over 800 range from your target. Not a single bruiser can hope to touch him. ADC's get kited as well, Twitch maybe being able to duel Azir if he has his R, except oh wait Azir can just dash away.

Long range kiters usually get slow skillshots that are difficult to land, because they need to go a long distance, or their abilities are telegraphed. Think Xerath. Azir's damage is either completely targeted, or negates the fact that he's far away because his abilities come from his soldiers, who are in melee range. He's like an 800 range ADC with an AoE, fast moving, slow, and a ~500 range dash. Basically Caitlyn with more range and a more reliable slow, with a lower cooldown. Oh, and AoE damage.

If someone gets fed, you can completely argue that they're busted off of that. Jhin gets fed. He can carry, if he's protected, but his enemies have plenty of opportunity to kill him. He's immobile, with only situational soft mobility. His hard CC is a telegraphed skillshot which is also situational. His soft CC is completely dependent on him setting up before a fight, or ulting. He's vulnerable to any midrange mage or diver/assassin, unless his team protects him. He can't solocarry. I use Jhin because he's arguably one of the most balanced champions in the game, even if he is a bit weak right now. But nothing major about his design has changed in a while, and he used to be super strong.

If I got fed with Twitch, I could melt your team from insane range. But if you do somehow get on top of me, it's either gg for me, or lifesteal too strong. The first is the difference between Twitch and Azir. The second is lifesteal on ADC's being bullshit at times.

I get fed with Xerath, I can easily do a shit ton of damage to your entire team, with range and CC at my disposal. But you can also very easily dodge my damage. It's a skillshot, telegraphed and hard to land. It's not completely dependent on my skill, but also on yours. You get to interact. That being said, I also have less CC than Azir, with a situational slow and a slow moving stun. The stun is also single target, so while one enemy is skill based, multiple is just I'm dead.

Every other champion in the game has weaknesses that can be exploited, even when they're fed as fuck. Azir... simply has none, unless HE fucks up.
