Riot favors AD> AP

How can anyone with half a brain think this game is balanced.

AD users:

  • get way better items
  • crit allows autos to do as much as spells
  • many AD users not only dont have resource costs, but get the mana bar replaced with something helpful (such as yasuo shiedl)
  • A heavy mechanic in the game is trying to get ahead in gold and exp, which AD users can do because life steal allows for insane sustain and they can even heal with abilities because of deaths dance. ( paired with a no cost hero is op AF) AP users have nothing near this. A lot of mages cant make use of the gunblades AD. And ROA has pitful heals in comparison and require wasting mana.

AP users:

  • have to go back to get mana
  • the solution is to spend power-granting gold on mana sinking 100's into a stat just to be able to use the abilities where as many AD users dont have to worry about this at all, and even ones who have mana usually have super low costs that make it easy to manage
  • most mages cant fight jungle camps with out losing a good chunk of hp and mana until they have a few finished itmes (meanwhile riven (and some others can buy 1 item and go HEAL off the camps)

These discrepencies allow AD heros to survive their duel with 15% hp, stay and push the wave, and can get back to full hp by the time the mage respawns. The banshees veil build is a step in the right direction but really its not fair.

Well, a lot of AP advantage in in their kits. Advantage average AP have are: Higher utility then average AD champion Higher range then average AD champion Ability to poke without risk Stronger wave clear and very safe waveclear in sieges normally. Ability to make picks without major risks.

Normally their trades off are: Mana costs are higher then AD champions Typically lack any form of sustain Normally have less mobility
