But everyone seems to enjoy trying to piss other people off more than they enjoy them game. The player base is horrible.

I can never tell if the person in silver 1 telling me i suck because im in silver 3 (or 2, been bouncing up and down) is serious and doesnt realize that we are literally no different, or if he is just trying to make himself feel better by putitng me down. Nor can I tell which is more pathetic :/

Please tell me, how long have you been playing? Have you been chat restricted? suspended? Perma banned? Any of these more than once? How many times? What keeps you playing this game after 7 years even though theres no meaningful content updates?

Also what are your oppinions on people who mute everyone at the start of every game? Im gonna start doing that even if its considered "lack of communication" and will get me reported. No one in my games ever says anything worthwhile anyway.

Been playing since Season 2 (support main), so roughly 5+ years. Never have been permabanned, suspended, or char restricted for that matter.

In fact, I talk all the time in my games :)

I enjoying praising my teammates when they make a great play in lane or during team fights. I type "my bad there/mbad" if I make a mistake.

I think this helps create a team atmosphere where it's okay to admit mistakes and focus on making big plays later in the game.

As to your other question about muting people at the start of the game. If it helps you have a more positive experience in league then you're golden! That's what the tool is there for.

You will not be punished for "lack of communication" simply because you take advantage of the tools that Riot has designed and implemented for this exact purpose.

Lots of players are neutral and don't say much in game but you know when baron and dragon are coming up.

The only thing I would say is eventually, you should consider that there might be positive players on your team, and it would be a disservice to you if you pre-emptively mute them at the start without giving them a chance. They might just make your experience better: win or lose!

I think champ select is a good indicator of what team morale will look like in game. Based on what you see in champ select chat, make a decision on who to mute at the start of the game. :)

Joined in season 1, I think I got a temporary ban a few years back, but nothing else that I can recall.

I play with at least one friend most of the time, that helps me to have fun despite toxic teammates.

I keep all chat turned off, sure sometimes you will see sportsmanlike opponents, but most of the time players on the other team just use it to try to harass and tilt you. It serves no strategic purpose and usually is only used for stupid shit like "?" when you die to them. There's no reason to have it active.

If I get bored I just expand my champion pool and try playing a new lane. Every role has something different to offer, and many many champions are fun and interesting to use.

I've looked to league as an arena for me to practice teamwork and leadership skills, so that's one of the things keeping me around. Having a good game with teammates who work together is my cookie at the end of the tunnel that keeps me going.

I have found that it is effective to acknowledge teammates after they make good plays (even across the map from me) and to console them when things go poorly for them. This keeps their morale high and prevents them from feeling insecure and judged by their teammates. keeping people from getting defensive allows morale to stay high and keeps the team in a state where we can communicate strategy.
