Ekko dont want ultimate hat? lol

he heals 150 per third mark with ravenous.

They'll want Ultimate Hat if they're running it with Nimbus Cloak and Electrocute. Nimbus Cloak increases move speed after you ult, so you thought they were frustrating before...

webstar110841 votes

Oh my God. Rengar. FUCK

BALDG1VEN BOOMER1 votes

Most Rengar players already run ultimate hat.

webstar110819 votes

Yes but now he does not need the sorc tree. He can have is regular primary and then Triumph/Coupe or extra tank

Sp33d Zer01 votes

If he wants nimbus cloak he needs sorcery.

Ryusaether3 votes

Except he doesn't want it

Terozu1 votes

He doesnt want a large movement speed burst on his ult?

50000000000000003 votes

It's upon cast, not upon jump. It's probably useful, but I don't think he'll be an abuse case.

Terozu1 votes

Makes sense i guess.

I dont play rengar so i dont really know what he wants... just stay the fuck away from unwarded bushes and keep a control ward up.

Ryusaether1 votes

For 2 seconds? I mean you become invisible, already have a MS boost, you get 100 extra for 2s and then... run faster (which you already do).

Sp33d Zer01 votes

The thread was about remgar ult with nimbus cloak. That's the only reason I mention it

DeusVult6 votes

it only increases MS by 100 for 2 seconds after you ult

Rengar wont go into sorcery just for nimbus cloak. Maybe if it was increased MS during the whole ult

Akali on the other hand...

50000000000000001 votes

It has a static cooldown of 20-ish seconds.

Steelflame1 votes

They already changed that. It now has a 60 second cooldown, that scales with your CDR.

50000000000000001 votes

So spammable ults are even less of abuse cases.

AlchemistWiz1 votes

It doesn't work the same way as it does in sorcery. It's not a buff, if anything its a nerf because champions who choose to run this new rune have to get unique take downs to get the lower cooldown, unlike before where they get a lower cool down for just casting their ultimate. It's becoming more of a feast or famine rune, like most of the runes in domination.

Also, interestingly enough, rengar mains might not choose to take this rune because there is a very competitive option in the form of relentless hunter. Late game, most of them would probably prefer increased out of combat movement speed to make the most out of their ultimate instead of a lower cooldown on it.

Steelflame1 votes

Also, the change equalizes it's use cases between people with short spammable ult CDs that practically abused it's stacking mechanic (Karma, looking at you), and those with extremely long CDs that struggled to stack it. You can now viably use it on Karthus, for instance, where as before you'd struggle to fully stack it pre-20 minutes in, you can now do so potentially as early as that first ult. Although I'm sure most Karthi won't use it just because of Presence of Mind's higher value to him.

SennaFirstPick1 votes

not really, his ult gives so much mov speed, compined with yoomus that its a wasted rune slot nimbus cloak

Why Fizz wouldn't want Ultimate Hat?

He is pretty reliant on his ult, especially considering how the rework made him reliant on actually hitting that ult to be useful.

Ryusaether1 votes

Because his ult CD is already really low. He has it back in like, kill opponent-back-walk in lane time.

50000000000000001 votes

Ultimate hat is generally stacked by mid game. It's probably useful at that point.

Zed with ult hat and max cdr has like a 30s ult cd late game

{quoted}

It has a static cooldown of 20-ish seconds.

It got nerfed.

[New] Nimbus Cloak (S2) Takes place of The Ultimate Hat Effect: "Shortly after casting your Ultimate ability, gain a powerful, decaying movement speed increase for 2s. Increase: 100 Movement Speed Cooldown: 60s, reduced by Cooldown Reduction"

webstar110818 votes

Ult hat is not good one Akali. Her ult CD is super short and she get refreshes. You do not really need it. Also it would be good on Talon

dunder kill8 votes

Weird how exactly zero of those champs would ever give up Sudden Impact for it

ModJango Mage10 votes

U can take sudden impact and ultimate hat at the same time, they are not in the same row.

Votable Jester1 votes

What row is Ulti Hat going to be in?

Gibberwatt3 votes

i would guess its replacing eyeball collection

Bârd8 votes

It's a fourth option in the Hunter row.

5% ult CDR plus 2% for each unique kill.

Spoofghoul1 votes

but why? i mean then no one will take it considering how this extra cdr stacks up it is hardly worth it

probably better off with ingenious hunter or relentless hunter for their utility

Steelflame1 votes

I can see Eve getting it. She REALLY needs that ult CDR, but doesn't really depend on either Relentless Hunter (She can easily get away with building 3 MS items for +28% MS all time, which leaves her moving faster than champs with boots without even getting them) or Ravenous Hunter (Passive can literally scale up to more than her max HP with a lot of AP, and knowing tricks like the raptor drive-by heal means she heals a lot in the jungle). She never would have taken it in Ultimate Hat form because she was so utterly slow at stacking it due to the very long base CD on her ult, but she can easily rack up the kills/assist needed for Ultimate Hunter.

Bent Pixels3 votes

Why take ultimate hat on ekko? with capped cdr and some inspiration runes, the level 3 cooldown is only like 40 secs

Kaioko3 votes

Have they decided what line they're putting it on? Depending on what you give up most of those champions won't take it.

SpongebobIsLife1 votes

Yeah, that tacked it on to the hunter tier. The last tier. each takedown you get reduces ult cd

Profirix1 votes

They decided to go with bounty hunter slot...and its a trash version of the original Ultimate Hat...

5% base + 2% per bounty hunter stack. Much harder to acquire. Now you have to actually be doing well to get the full use out of it instead of getting cdr over time just by using your ult.

Steelflame1 votes

It is equalized between people who have long and short CD ults. Some people have extremely long ult CDs and can't really stack up ult hat, but team play around the map can get them Ult Hunter stacks. You don't need the kill, just an assist, to get the stack.

Uziya1 votes

all of those can already go sorcery...

Bârd2 votes

You should be running Electrocute on these guys.

My Waifu Vanilla5 votes

Idk if you know this, but after you finish out a tree, you can pick a second tree and gain bonus stats and get 2 minor runes from that tree.

All jokes aside most of these champion would STILL rather have something else in that tier like the movement speed since you are still looking for roams. 6 second off your ultimate is not going to outweigh out of combat movement speed or a massive cooldown reduction on Gunblade (Akali) or Protobelt (Ekko). Ultimate Hat STILL has the problem of scaling terribly and the condition to fill it has actually gotten harder arguably. Let's use Ekko as an example. Ekko ult starts at 110 seconds. Ultimate Hat takes off a little less than 6 seconds for your first ultimate. Let's move ahead to a game you are probably pretty ahead. Level 11-16 with a fully stacked ultimate hat and 20% CDR (proto+lich). CDR drops your ult down from 90 to 72. Ultimate hat (which is multiplicative) drops it down to 61.2 seconds. 11 seconds off (this number is only just under 4 seconds if you are 0/0/0 at this point of CDR). How many times in a game have you NEEDED your ultimate and couldn't wait 11 seconds? Even in a scenario where you are grouping later on you are GOING to want to wait for the longest ult cooldown on your team like your Malphite's ultimate or your Leona ult or Janna ult or whatever making that time reduction useless there.

Also, btw at full build (30% CDR) and full stacks you lose less 7 seconds on your ulti again (49 to 41.65). The only assassins I could see MAYBE taking this are Kayn and Zed because they are looking for picks all game and can make plays with their ultimates due to how proactive they are. On the other hand, SA Kayn gives up A LOT of movement speed from Relentless Hunter in taking Ultimate Hat which is a main reason he gets kills in the first place and Zed might just take it if he doesn't feel like roaming and is fine with being at 1/5 for a majority of the game until bot lane leaks and comes to mid inevitably.

Steelflame1 votes

Kayn generally won't bother with Relentless Hunter because the insane sustain from Ravenous Hunter really buffs up his early game brawling, and lets him bypass worrying about sustain all game. Relentless is more valuable if you don't have a lot of other sources of MS going, but Kayn's E and Ghostblade are enough to mean Relentless is well above the second MS soft-cap, doing little to nothing.

Meanwhile, Kayn also doesn't care about his ult CD as much as many other champs. His ult isn't the majority of his damage, but his Q and W are. The main value of his ult is the utility of it, but that utility isn't essencial, because Kayn can beat out the 100% damage to kill a person without ult even every coming into play if ahead. Rhaast may like it though, as his ult is a bit more crucial to his playstyle for the massive heal, but then it comes at the cost of not having Relentless Hunter, which considering Rhaast won't have Ghostblade or the buffed SA E MS, does significantly cut down on his wall distances.

Red Wreckage1 votes

Finally I will not be locked on to sorc secondary when running Electrocute/dark harvest.

Instead go inspiration secondary for 60% ult CD?

Steelflame1 votes

Ultimate Hat/Ultimate Hunter's ult CDR isn't additive, it's multiplicative. If you build any CDR at all, its actually far less effective, down to approx half at 45% CDR (It gives about +8% ult CDR at 45% stat CDR).

It's value is more giving your ult CDR when you don't have the option to really build any, than further reducing the ult CD of someone who stacks CDR. Eve would be a good example, from the jungle currently she struggles to itemize a lot of CDR, but most of her kit doesn't need to be spammed on CD so it doesn't hurt her as much, and as such her ult, which is core to her play style at times, is on a very long CD.

GhaelWinds1 votes

Honestly all it does for me is make some toplane yorick matchups a little bit more painful by not having matching ult cds. Waiting for his ultimate is a bear.

Talon You missed something. Oh he wall hopped over every wall and killed bot lane 5 times.
