IIRC correctly your ranking after placements is tied into your MMR from the previous season, so I was wondering how that was gonna affect season 7 placements, cuz we had a mix of solos and dynamics, whereas that won't be the case with the new system.
Shadòw1 votesprob will affect both
Leeerzeichen1 votesor you just get a fresh (silver?) mmr for one or both, but i agree with you that this is the most likely option.
Oh Look Kaede1 votesI have a higher mmr than my division but was placed lower this season. I did well on my series as well.
DarkRitual1 votesYour DQ mmr will be the starting point for both Solo/Duo and Flex.
Dukues1 votesThis is just my guess but I think maybe... one will use your prior season dynamic rank and the other will be fresh new account mmr.
Now I personally think it makes sense to use dynamic queue mmr for flex rank and new fresh mmr for solo/duo but since its Riot I could see it being the opposite where your season 6 rank affects your solo/duo placements and flex is new mmr.
