This is my issue, I only like two champions in the game, one of which I like substantially less than the other

I can't find anything else interesting or fun for more than 1 or 2 games

i refuse to sacrifice fun for a video game but at the same time i hate how I only really play one champion, its a bad thing

edit

upon some reflecting.. i noticed that i mostly play the same general class in all other games when I can get away with it

So I play jayce and (exclusively bruiser) graves

In general I like being beefy and kiting

In WoW I played a hunter with a tenacity pet so well back in WoTLK my guild let me be the off tank... which was... uhh.. well it was more or less troll but the way i split my entire setup worked and only hit about 5% dps dip

inHoTs I play Tychus and Greymane to roughly the same effect

in skyrim I play heavy armor+ Archery

In DnD i almost always wind up being a switch hitter of some sort, either a ranger or a magus, a druid (Caster+bear form) and I'm always doing the tankier build

so yeah, I can't find anything else

I got such a kick out of warframe because the game felt tailored to me

I used to be Singed onetrick, now I'm a Camille onetrick, even playing her mid with ignite. There's so many champs its impossible there aren't 5 or so you like

Play more champs. I just learned that I love playing Taric.

Taric is enjoyable but I can't play him too many times in a row

that's the issue.. i just lose interest and therefore the ability to learn the deeper level of mechanics on certain champs

I also hate simple champs like malphite because i feel like it's just boring, I'm not saying "Easy" because I'm differentiating complexity from power level.

Like riven is simple but she's not generally considered easy

Give Katarina a shot. Nothing feels more rewarding than facerolling your way to a pentakill. No, but seriously she's quite fun. Been playing her for 3 years straight and there's still things for me to learn.

Nothing wrong with being a one trick. It helps climbing ranked as well. Just dabble in other champs enough to get an s rank box once a week.

i use to be a big one trick Lucian now these days i've branched out into Vayne and Kaisa. I find picking the hard to play champs are more fun, because you KNOW you can always get MUCH better at them. While something like a Heimerdinger is... well... you get the point after a game or MAYBE 2.

beefy + kiting?

that sounds like Singed to me.

Also, summoner 11 summoner 6

Then one-trick them?

I'm a Yorick one-trick, and in previous seasons I one-tricked other champions as well. One-tricking ain't a bad thing, you can go far with it.

I mean... I was Diamond 1 two days ago rip.

Taking your one trick into bad match ups shouldn't matter if you know exactly what you're doing. At least when it comes to the solo lanes anyways, can't say the same for bot lane.

You talk about the kind of play style that you enjoy, while I'm sitting here playing shit like Aba in HoTs, MM necro in GW, and always have at least 1 spectre, zombie, flaming skull, or skeleton build in every PoE season.

Then riot comes along and removes literally the one style that fits my preferred style AD Malzahar, granted i'm talking about pre-rework not cancer OP.

You can point to champions like yorick or heim as more minion based designs, but the fact of the matter is that they always end up pushing the minion management aspects out of the champion to appease people who don't actually care if the minions existed. It's ironic, despite the game having nearly 3.5x as many champions as it had when I first started playing. It feels like they're all designed for the same maybe 10 kind of players, where as the game use to offer something for everyone via their extensive roster and nonrestrictive champion designs.
