Repost: Carry this to escape elo hell
Not sure if video is viewable -- if it isn't, let me know so I can try to get vid capture software and record the recording to post online when I find time. Regardless, I'll try to post link to post match analysis too. Ok, so it is showing up as white screen for me, but hopefully it works for you -- no clue why.
Anyways, can someone pls explain how anyone can JUSTLY be told to carry 4 teammates like this on a daily basis to escape elo hell? Maybe because I played poorly in placements and I deserve to be here right? Um one problem with that -- this a reflection of the average skill of my teammates in placement games too. Do they look like they reached gold 5 last season? I don't think so... unless they are hammered drunk and shouldn't be playing ranked right now. Poor decision-making (ex: staying 1v3 as support at half hp vs 3 fed enemies including shyv with ult), 0 teamwork -- something they claim about me because I'm not grouping all game to save their butts. Sorry I didn't take tp and neither did mundo. I kept him top and pulled some jungle and mid pressure. Could you maybe hold 4v4 or 4v3 without feeding every 2 sec the enemy fights you? You picked tf into annie. What did you expect to happen mid? (read with sarcasm:) Poor lucian adc stuck with "trash" team dragging him down. Because everyone knows you should not ward properly bot lane when you are getting focused. Because when you see you are about to be 2v3, you should totally go for a kill on their support and feed 2 kills for it plus a drag instead of backing off and living. Yeah sorry I am dragging you down buddy. When you get 2 shot as yi, maybe build 2nd item defense -- not lifesteal you won't make use of -- because you will die before lifesteal matters. Also, you can't ff jungle for 20 min ganking only 2 times when shyv is snowballing 2 lanes -- and you don't even have a cs lead. Just so you don't think I'm claiming to be perfect, I will point out a few flaws of my own -- ones that I will add would largely not matter if my team were anywhere deserving of playing at this rank (i.e. not feeding the entire enemy team for no good reason and making the game unwinnable).
My cs'ing sucks -- only getting about 2/3-3/4 minions overall I think.
Lvl 2-3 I flash and all-in mundo top. I get kill, but i shouldn't have flashed for it -- misclick on my part and bad because it could have been needed to escape or secure kill later on.
~ 8:30ish, I die 1v3 top to a great gank by shyv and annie. I had thought they went back to their jungle and or recalled because they'd blown their burst and neither had full hp. I was hoping to kill mundo and then start grouping to force teamfights where I could tank enemy burst and let my team not insta-die. Well I blew flash top for no reason trying to live there and it meant I can't really force teamfight till I have it up again -- bad, but it does result in us getting a drag because I kept them top long enough for yi and tf to sneak it.
Don't remember the time, but when I dive mundo under top inner tower and fail to kill him. Failing to kill is semi-understandable -- he escaped with 1 hit from dead and somehow was faster than me (he didn't slow me with cleaver, so I should have been able to catch for that last auto I thought). Anyways, failing the kill itself wasn't bad, but chasing was. I could have backed off and let minions die to tower instead of chasing and dying to shyv. I probably should have gone 2nd item mr instead of hp, but I hoped it would be passable and get 3rd item mr -- relying on my hp and ult plus coc shield to survive annie burst.
So overall, I'd say my performance was nothing amazing, but certainly not horrible. When you consider this is bronze 1, I'd say I am well and above the rank (based on performance, decision-making, mechanics, and strategies of) my teammates on average. So overall, what do you HONESTLY think? Am I at my proper rank for the season or should I be higher rank? Are my teammates boosted, trolling on purpose, at their proper rank, or is lucian a challenger adc getting held back by teammates like me?
P.S. Riot. Clearly you read this even though most of my posts are TL;DR, so would you mind maybe replying with words? I moved it to the "correct" section just for you. Did you watch the vod or view the post-game stats? Do you honestly think it is fair? I know I will have some games like this -- even pro's and high rank streamers have SOME games like this. But regularly having over 50% of my games like this that are literally unwinnable despite me being individually better than any 1 player or sometimes any 2 players on the enemy team? And saying I deserve to be stuck here? Literally closer to 80% of games are either unwinnable like this one thanks to boosted or troll teammates in 1-4 positions (usually 3+) or else very very very hard and require that I basically make 0 mistakes and hard carry despite being 2v1'd all laning and getting no help. So please, write a comment. Review the game and tell me where I ruined it for my team. Where I could have carried if only I'd done better and not held back my teammates. And remember their intelligence level based in in-game decision making. While you and I might see an opportunity to make a play, they probably didn't; so consider that when you write your response.
Thanks, sincerely

I agree. It's mathematically impossible to carry 4 people who have no where near the skill you possess.
RIOT has the failed policy of thinking if you're better than them... you'll advance. Which is a complete fallacy. When they'll change this policy I have no clue. But at current, there is a huge problem with matchmaking.
RIOT has refused to change their system as in the top tiers (plat diamond and challenger), it works fine because it literally won't let silver and bronze players group with them. Thus they've "escaped" elo hell. Anyone spouting off the absurdity that it doesn't exist may take the challenge I've had open for 2 years and NO ONE WHO HAS EVER ATTEMPTED IT has passed. Win 4/5 Games with the teams that I queue with you. Literally no one has won 4/5. If skill had ANYTHING to do with getting out of silver or bronze there would at least be ONE person capable of beating them 80% of the time. But no one has passed this because their mmr and matchmaking system is so bad that when I queue with diamond players they cannot carry because 3 people on the team are so disgustingly bad that it's impossible to carry. This has gotten EVEN worse since they took efforts to "reduce game length" which pretty much made fighting from behind an impossibility.

You will be able to carry them eventually through sheer probability. Although, that will probably take alot of games to get good luck. When I was in bronze 4 years ago, I stayed stuck for 1 month until I got a 25 game winstreak and got out

That's the problem. Statistics is the only way you get out. You have control over 3-5% of games. EVERYTHING else evens out to a 50/50 coin flip over a long enough period. Why is that acceptable? I don't play a lot of games. So therefore I'm fucked over. Is that acceptable? No. They need to change this shit. I'd literally rather it be all random. Sometimes I fight a diamond, sometimes a complete shit newbie. But it'd be fair. Cause I can play on the diamonds level. I've fought them, over and over... because in normals and leveling they get matched with me a LOT. But somehow I'm not able to rank up because I can't carry when I literally don't have a team.

The problem is Riot doesn't take this seriously. People use high elo players smurfing as an excuse, when in reality they are atleast 4 tiers above their opposition so obviously they will escape that elo. If you are, say, Gold V level skill you can legitimately get stuck in Silver II-I. That happened to me about a year ago, my main was gold 5 with 66% winrate but on my smurf I was stuck in Silver 2 and 1 for about 30 games.

If your cs is low, you're probably missing the way your champ should cs. There are some that are better than others but minimum cs should be around 60 at the 10 minute mark. If you're below that you need to build differently to compensate.
