Support items need changes

item 3069 item 3092 item 3401 item 2049

So I heard riot dislikes items that used again and again well I hate it too, we need some variety, so I won't forced to buy the same items, and I won't forced to see the same built in e$sport again and again.

Most of the supports build item 2049 (supports without SS considered as bad btw), so why not making variety for ward items, for example SightStone is good for X champion and/or Y condition, SightPaper is good for A champion and/or B condition, SightScissor is good for H champion and/or K condition.

and for item 3069 most of supports buy it, usually people buy item 3303 / item 3302, upgrade it, buy sightstone, and then sell their targon/frostfang, buy talisman. Talisman is the only items that worth the 2nd upgrade, and this is boring to repeat this over and over again. You should do some changes to Queen and FoTM, unfortunately I have no idea what changes needed

so.. how do you guys think ??

I like the name sight scissors and sight paper. I'd like to see sight lizard and sightspock. There's one for any nerds out there 😀

Well sorry for my last post. I thought it was funny.

Here is my take. I disagree with your last paragraph, and here's why. Talisman's active becomes most efficient the more allies you hit with it, for the purpose of engaging a fight. In some situations, you don't want to engage like this. Instead, you can get frost queen that can slow multiple members of their team and do a small amount of magic damage, and get a pickup kill that way. Fotm has obvious bonuses for Tanky supports who don't need to aoe damage from frost queen necessarily, and value that durability more than a speed boost. Think of thresh for example who is good at hooking someone and going for a box. Are you more likely to survive with talisman or Fotm?

How should SightPaper and SightScissor be different from Sightstone? What is X, Y, A, B, H, K? Maybe you could argue that instead of always giving Sightstone health, you could give it ap, ad, health regen, mana regen e.t.c so that you have one that can pair up with each gold regeneration item. A potential problem is that depending on the value of the stats, you may just see a meta where each of the ward items can only be paired with one other gold item to make it optimal.

Did you play support before Season 4?

Here's a sample of an average final Season 3 support build: item 3096 item 3067 item 2045 item 2044x5 item 2043x1-2item 3117 You'd be spending between 375g per trip on wards (+125g per pink) and 400g on Oracle's every 4 min.

If you were really rich, you might be able to turn that Kindlegem into a Locket (or a Shurelya's, but you'd lose the gold gen).

Season 4 removed the need to spend over 900g per trip to base on consumables and the "mandatory support items" requirements dropped to merely Tier 2 Gold Gen and Tier 1 Sightstone.

Only Frostqueen's Claim isn't worth fully upgrading on most champions. Talisman and Face of the Mountain are great.

Actually, item 3303 is probably the best support item as it is by far the easiest one to proc.

Especially on Morgana

Fuck that champ.
