AP itemization is so disgruntled, I need wasted stats to build properly.
I play a lot of Fizz (Queue downvotes).
With my normal build I get 10% CDR from a
, 20% from a
, 15% from runes (scaling/level), and 5% from the mastery that boosts you to 45%.
My dilemma: That's 50% CDR. 5% isn't a big deal, right? Wrong. Morello's is the only decent option (other than maybe an Athene's, but I've personally never liked using it - just a personal preference) to get me to my 45% CDR cap. But what's the use in going 5% over? That's wasted stats, that I'd rather have a decent item for - unless I'm laning against a Swain, or there's a Mundo top on the opposing team, Morello's passive is basically useless, so I'm paying lots of gold for a wasted passive, and wasted 5% CDR.
"But, there are other items. Get an Athene's, get a Nashor's Tooth, get a-" Let me stop you there. I play Fizz as a straight up assassin - as little AAing as possible to get the job done, so Nashor's isn't a good option. And as far as Athene's goes, it isn't a bad option, but personally I'm just not a fan. Can't explain it, I just don't like it. And up against the oh-so-common full-AD squad this game? Yeah, that MR will be real helpful.
This is just from my perspective as Fizz, a lot of AP assassins/casters need CDR from items, but can't get it without adding completely arbitrary items to their build.
So what I'm asking is:
Why are there no items with 5%, 15%, or 25% CDR? Why are we so limited in our options? And what's worse, why is the scaling CDR equaling 15% a good idea? It isn't helping anyone who wants to max their cooldown reduction. Could we please throw some fixes in the new AP item changes (if it isn't too late) to CDR items (give us some more variety), or at least fix the extra 5% issue that I bet a lot of people have.
Or maybe it's just me.
But I don't like having extra stuff for nothing.
So tl;dr
Please fix it.
P.S. I know that Zhonya's now has 10% CDR as well. Whoop-de-doo. If I continue to build this then I'll have to switch out Sorcs for Lucids, which would still put me at 50%.
I may have mild OCD, I do not like having overhanging numbers.
