I just played a game AP Ezreal mid to which I was bombarded in pre game chat to 'you're a fucking troll kys'. I ended up doing the most damage on the team and was flamed the entire game. Then my client crashed after the game and I couldn't report them. GL HF summoners. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

You see the midlaner come do half their hp and then he just has nothing else to offer for a while. He can ult I guess but he just does nothing special until his combo is back up really.

With really high base damages and amazing scalings, AP Ez actually has one of the higher burst potentials in the game, if he isn't instakilling people almost leblanc style, he's doing something wrong, probably. more of a burst ap assassin than a mage imo, though he can kite very effectively and output a lot of aoe dmg as well. generally he provides a shit ton of damage, but that's literally it.
CerealBoxOfDoom1 votesits not just misfortune, not to be confused with miss fortune who also has more to offer than just damage and selfish protection, but the fact of the matter is that even leblanc has more to offer since she has better cooldowns on a larger portion of her burst and isn't nearly entirely skillshot reliant, you can't block most of her stuff and the majority of her damage isn't realistically dodgable. Ez can one shot people who have no business fighting high burst champs alone, good for him. But he does nothing else, personal experiences or not. When the enemy is competent AP ez becomes a huge burden. He can't keep his damage up giving them huge gaping windows during which they can attack all they like. Once his ult is down he's just another normal damage source, Hurray he does like 25% more damage if he actually lands everything on just the right person which wont happen against competent teams even if the player doesn't suck, actually its more likely to happen if he sucks and just sacrifices himself to almost instagib someone whos being protected because their team knows that's all AP ez can really do.
Worst of all though is having to play around having one of those on your team. Even when youre winning it feels really shitty because the midlaner can't do much. Its like playing with asthma guy just because he can shoot from the 3 point line but that's all he can do.

Ezreal has relatively low cooldowns, which is amplified by the cooldown reduction given due to hitting his Q, and the amount of long range AoE damage he offers is pretty much unrivaled by most. I don't think he's a great AP mid because of his total lack of CC, but discrediting his damage is not correct, he offers plenty of burst as well as sustained damage.

Nothing wrong with AP ez damage wise. He is just garbage in lane, you just shove him under tower and roam
