Been playing on the PBE for quite a while. The new runes breathe the fresh air into League that it has needed for some time; can confirm the freshness does not die within a week, or even two for that matter.

To me the game has always been about adapting to the enemy rather then just picking "what the current meta says your champ should build", and I think these Runes will really help push that concept, even after the initial confusion dies down and people start building a new Rune meta for each champ. Even though they say you should pick X rune for your champ, the enemy may have counter picked you, so you may want to pick Y rune to take advantage of one of their weaknesses or even Z rune to make up for your own weakness and make it harder for the enemy to take advantage of that weakness.

I wonder which rune will be the metalord this time :P
