Armor Walls

Armor Wall: A team made of four tanks, and an ADC/APC. Five man premades love this kind of cheese. If it doesn't sound that bad, you haven't played against one yet, or you're one of the 10% of the population that uses their brain, and already figured this one out. The irritation comes in because they have a lot of health to begin with, and can negate a lot of the damage one is used to. They're also CC-heavy, punishing mistakes severely with stuns, slows, and shatter effects. All that being said, they're not hard to counter.

How you win: Build anti-tank items, like BotRK, Liandri's, lethality/M.Pen, etc. Don't play too far from the turret, since it's too late once Rammus/The Other Laner Your Team Didn't Ping shows up. Understand that dives and catch-outs are the only way they're going to get the gold lead they need to win. Their advantage wears thinner the longer the game goes on, as infinite scalers like Nasus and Veigar come online, and your team gets used to dealing with sponges. Don't forget, most of their damage is coming from their one ADC/APC, so focus that one first, or poke the front line away. If the Wall is any good, they will peel you off like nobody's business, so poking down and isolating is usually the better option. Split pushing as a team is frequently effective, as you can take turrets and move around the map much faster than they can. Eventually, they will lose. Unusual game, slow pace, but done deal.

Here's how you lose: Buying items off the recommended like you're dealing with a normal team. You are not. Buy anti tank items. Not pinging/listening to MIAs...No, I don't think you're that stupid, I think you're that careless. I see this a lot. Trying to dive them like you've got more health...you don't, and they know it. Getting caught out (try looking at that cool little thing in the bottom right corner...goes well with those wards you most definitely placed), or enabling early dives by letting them poke you to near death. Hard-engaging the front line with their damage dealer in range; you will kill one or two of them, and then you will all die. A few repetitions of this crap, and suddenly everyone's lighting up chat with trash talk, blaming everyone except themselves, feeding to infinity and beyond...and you've lost the game to a group of stoners who heard about Armor Walls on Reddit, and decided you were too dumb to know how to counter it (true, more times than I can count).

Now that you've absorbed at least a little piece of what I wanted you to, I will not be checking back on this post, nor reading any of the comments. This is information, and I'm not even vaguely interested in a bunch of uninformed opinions from a herd of randos. You can debate it amongst yourselves with whatever banalities you prefer as modes of expression. I wrote it because I was angry, and because, somewhere out there, are the 10% of the population worth pulling out of a burning building, who might appreciate the info.

this seemed like a troll post, when you mentioned lethality as a counter to tanks i knew for sure though.

If you see them pick this

you can counter it in champ select by getting

1 splitpusher like Tryndamere or Trundle 1 waveclear champ like Ziggs or Anivia 2 peel champs, preferably tanky ones with good disengage for example Maokai /Nami are really good if you need peel and disengage and ofc an ADC, because they are mandatory, who can also grab some waveclear in the form of runaans or has some innate waveclear Caitlyn Sivir are pretty good because they have added utility which makes them hard to lockdown with spellshield or Net and traps/ult for zonecontrol disengage

Alternatively you could try a 1/3/1 if you can get a decent assassin/slayer midlaner you would still want some waveclear and disengage tho so your 3 man can infinite stall

Basicaly you need to be able to deny them the engage and picks while your splitpusher(s) just chips away at their base, the moment they go after him he can fall back and you go push

It's so easy their fleshwalls can't solo stop the splitpusher anyway since they lack the damage

This whole 4 tank bs is so easily countered

There are exceptions though you have to be wary of champs like Sion Shen who can grab grasp + item 3748 item 3068 item 3075 and still deal a lot of damage that way to be able to duel you and join their team with their ulti's faster then you can Becareful if they have a Sion because he will just ignore your disengage with his ultimate, just counter with terrain pick something like Anivia

That's my advice anyway
