Maturity Goes A Long Way

There's an easy solution to virtually every social problem in League, the internet, and the world...

Don't be a dick. Not by League standards, or Wall Street standards, or board room standards. By the standards you'd follow if it was just you and whoever you're talking to on the street. You wouldn't dare pull the crap you pull here to somebody's face. Maybe they'll kick your ass, maybe they've got semiautomatic friends who will, maybe they'll just follow you and push you onto the tracks when you're not looking...you just don't know, so you don't risk it. So, instead of being another gutless puss who spits big when there's no one to make them act like an adult, police your own ethics. Treat other people the way you'd want to be treated. And don't delude yourself into thinking you're okay receiving the crap you dish out; you suck at least as bad as every other slowly decaying homo sapien on this planet, and you like being reminded of that just as little as they do. There's always someone who's better than you, at anything you will ever try, who could put you down like you're putting down someone else.

Remember that, and try to keep your own insignificance in perspective.

EDIT: Downvoting without bothering to comment proves my point perfectly: you're gutless.

EDIT 2: Glad to see I struck a nerve. Downvotes are as good as upvotes for determining what kind of effect I'm having. Going down the list and downvoting every comment I make is even better; it means I made you so angry that you're not even listening any more. And I've done this with nothing but a keyboard...how does it feel?

Was gonna upvote you but that comment made me retract it and downvote. And since you want a comment, here's mine:

Maturity goes a long way.

Ehhhh problem is there is quite a few who would, and do, act like they do online in real life that are total assholes. Not saying i dont like the advice... just im not sure much would change even if they did listen to it lol

He calls people names, like keyboard warriors and genetic wastes of humans and he's constantly saying nonsense that actually goes nowhere to try and trick you into debating a losing battle he has no intention of actually winning because he doesn't make any sense.

He just wants you to be annoyed at his antics.

The OP is a troll. He's admitting that he's trying to troll you in his second edit and reveling in it.

Stop feeding the troll.

Your behavior in the edit and in some of these replies places you right in the same group that you're admonishing.

Most people that talk shit online usually are too scared to make light insults in real life

I wholeheartedly agree, except that I like being reminded of how decaying and dead and screwed humanity. As a misanthrope, I find it reassuring that we're all hastening ourselves to inevitable doom.

Spoilers: I've heard a lot of stories about bosses in workplaces who are far worse than League players, and who throw staplers like Touhou bosses.

And Wall Street is far worse than even that.

I carry out my support duties in this game with 100% professionalism every game and I always have, even as I try to resist the urge to scissor-guillotine my own allies should they step one toe out of line.

And they are desperate to dance on it.

Almost no one talks to other people in person as they do online. Because of the safety of the internet anonymity shield, this won't really stick. That's why Riot has to bring down the punishments on the heads of those people who just don't have any human decency online.

Hey, this is the internet and a video game. How can you possibly know that this specific player who flames you to oblivion but in real life is some guy too scared to face people? Insulting others as a whole is immature anyway, whether in jokingly manner or not. But we do it nonetheless. We are not perfect, but it won't mean we are immature. Like for example: If i insult you, does it mean i'm just a stereotypical 12 year old, who defends logan paul obsessed with fidget spinners or something?!? Like you don't even know me or what i'm capable of or even my age and life! You can't just simply assume that if someone insults you means they are just some losers who can't stand up for themselves and rely on some screen to feel like they have some sort of power. Sure toxicity is unacceptable and unsportsmanlike in League, but we the mute button and the report. Now if you're talking about boards, then that's a different story. Either ignore, or counter argument but in a way that won't get you to add more fuel to the fire.
