The bonus damage on her W was removed in favor of that extra CC duration. Check the patch notes again.

Why even flash? The tether's length is basically* just as long as its casting range. If you weren't overextending/engaging, you can literally just walk out.

Karma is really weak at close range. If she gets close enough to do that and your team is in position and not outnumbered, you can likely kill her easily unless your team is behind enough that you pretty much lost the game.
