I haven't had so much fun in years

I just reached Diamond V (my summer goal) and now I stopped spamming the same ±20 champs like I used to when practising for ranked. I set up a goal to get atleast lvl 1 mastery in EVERY champ that I own and boy this has been so much fun.

I just queue up blind pick, let my team choose their lanes and search for a champ I haven't played yet (since mastery system) in the remaining role. The best part is: it doesn't really matter whether you win or lose, as long as you've had fun and tried. While spamming my main champs, it felt like I had to perform well or else I felt bad because I wasn't good enough. Right now, my main goal is not to feed and somehow I end up getting pretty good scores very often. Just yesterday I got S+ on Alistar (first time since years, back then I sucked at WQ combo and somehow it worked almost every time this game) and it felt so good. I had way more fun than when I went S+ on my Wukong main champ because on my main, it felt like my duty. Right here I was funny around and just stomping with my team.

Sure, there have been games that I went 0/5 and stuff like that, but they were still pretty fun games. I tried my best with a kit I'm not used with and was happy if I could atleast nearly kill that fed ADC or if I could juke them long enough in my jungle before I died.

The best part is: the unbalanced elements of the game don't bother me as much anymore. I don't HAVE TO win vs that skarner or if a team mate is afk, it's no big deal, we can still have fun till 20 mins or longer if we want to (as long as we're not dead 24/7) even though there's no realist chance to win.

Playing League competitively is exciting but can be very frustrating. Playing champs for the heck of it is way more relaxing. I know not everyone can enjoy it as much, but I certainly do even though I've been playing competitively for quite a while (in attempt to reach Diamond which I finally achieved).
