Is Karthus top legit?
I've seen it a few times and they did really well, then I looked at OP.gg and saw Karthus with a 54.9% win rate on top.
Is this for real or am I dreaming and the players I played against just had good games.

I do it often.
Easy to farm, don't have to worry about getting rekt by katarina and other burst mages, still have good impact in fights with ult.
His play rate is reeeeally tiny, so that means you have to consider a couple things.
- It's possible that only hardcore mains play him, which would up his win rate.
- It's possible that people only pick him when he's a really good fit for his team and against the enemy team.
I'm not sure about number 2, since he loses lane to practically anyone who's remotely meta at equal skill level, and the long lane makes his easy-to-gank weakness even more apparent. But because it's Karthus, I think number 1 probably is a big factor.
If you love Karthus, then he's certainly passable. (Not like trying to do solo lane Soraka.) It just might take you 20 or 50 or 100 games before you get to the point where you can win 55% of the time :)
