Got a question. Do shields not take resistance into account when they are cast on a champion?

Cuz people rant about ADC's being shielded as hell by supports, so I am wondering if tanky champions every get more millage out of them since they often have more resistance than a damage dealer.

Yes, shields take into mitigation afaik.

Tankier targets do get more mileage out of a shield, but you have to take into consideration two things:

-Tanks are already tanky enough that defensive cooldowns are better used on squishier targets.

-ADCs have life-steal, you have to burst them otherwise they'll heal back to full hp. Shields helps them survive that much longer, and then sustain that much longer. If your assassin failed to kill the enemy adc because a Lulu shielded them, you can bet that the adc will be back to full from 5% hp after a wave of minion or jungle camp.
