Accounts Identified as High ELO Smurfs...

I'm amazed that such a thing exists. NB3's account Tyrone3 was able to hit Diamond recently and I know it's not because of how MMR is calculated. The difference in stats between silver/gold players and Diamond+ players is next to nothing right now. At the end of the last season I was getting +15 LP per win with literally a 75% winrate. Previous Win/Loss records have such a high effect on your MMR it's ridiculous. Eventually you'll get stuck in a loss streak with nothing to do with it. You can tell how unbalanced actual matchmaking is when someone dodges and all it does is randomly replace the remaining 9 players into the same lobby. It creates an experience where one team WILL have the G4 player who is actually really good mechanically and is just stuck due to this arbitrary MMR with someone who just happened to be thrown into G4 and is still extremely inconsistent and gets lucky in 50% of his games.

So we have this arbitrary number tied to our accounts right now. My arbitrary number currently nets me +18 LP and I lose about -20 LP for losses. If I continue to play how I am and continue winning 2/3 games, it will take me 226 games at exactly this consistency to Reach D4. Whereas, for example, the Tyrone3 account did it in just over 100 games. Do you think that if this account wasn't clearly flagged as NB3's smurf account it would have had such a high base MMR?

Feel free to bash me with all the GIT GUD comments, but I have played this game for a long time and most of my games aren't in ranked. I have been spamming ranked recently and this has been my conclusion on how garbage the MMR system is. It doesn't have any real metric and it doesn't reward consistently good play because all it understands is if you won or lost vs some guy at X MMR...
