confused as to why triforce is primary suggested item in shop for Kog'Maw
triforce no longer has ap or crit so why would kog'maw buy it?

Triforce Kog actually used to be how he was played way back before the marksman rework, using his ult to weave Sheen procs the same way Irelia does.
it's not how he's played now, though. i'm familiar with how he used the sheen proc but this was when he could build triforce and use the ap stats and crit to scale into the late game. the current version of triforce does anything but help him get to late game. in fact the item is so gated and centered around late game that it's actually WAY too expensive and inefficient for him to buy
Ult.
what are you even trying to say
The suggested items for a lot of champs aren't really the best items for them. They need to take the time to program in a dynamic suggestion thing based on the most used items of plat+ or gold+ depending on sample size silver+ would be fine too.
Even if the items weren't the absolute best it would still be better than what they have.
the crazy part is that Kog'Maw bot doesn't even build Triforce
Probably because it used to be a good item for him, back then...and noone got around to changing the recommended items yet.
And Triforce is not only worse on Kog nowadays for the loss of AP and Crit, but also cause Kog himself (as all other ADCs) got his base AD lowered back in patch 5.22.
so the lower ad was to compensate for breaking the AS cap but after revert what was compensated? recently only changes to him have been nerfs. E ratio down by 20% and base damage down by 5 per level, 1% increase on W (LOL 1%), and ult doesn't execute anymore and doesn't poke efficiently. the ult changes are laughable because it was changed exactly at the time of E nerfs since it was powerful on ap kog. ult damage was shifted towards less of an execute and more of a poke. now its a limp execute and shitty poke. whats riots excuse? "we think he's in a good spot for now gg kids"
No, the lower AD was something that every single ADC received. Or, to be more precise, every ADC lost about 5 AD at level 18, in exchange for 5 AD more at level 1.
It's an outdated default item set because not even Riot knows what the optimal build path for Kog'Maw is. I can't imagine Kog'Maw being played professionally unless Riot gives him some sort of hard CC or some kind of maneuvering skill or they allow scripting on stage.
