How to Gank and keep your farm good in the new jungle

i have been having issues with this since it came out. How can I keep my CS up while my laners are having problems with their lanes and keep pinging for ganks? ( never used to have this problem in the old jungle. Any tips other then "get better bronzie" would be helpful.

Everything Riot has said, and everything I've seen so far this preseason has pointed to one simple fact about the new jungle.

You can either get good farm, or you can gank, you can't have both. The changes mean you either have to be dedicated to farming your jungle for your mid/late game. Or you've got to get to your lvl 2-3 where you're capable of ganking and focus hard on making successful ganks. You can no longer fail a gank, go farm a camp or two, then set up a tent by a lane while waiting for them to respawn. The new jungle is more challenging, it's meant to end the super farm/super gank meta that had formed in the jungle and force jungle champs to make meaningful decisions, whether I farm up, or gank.

It's funny how the jungle has transitioned over the seasons; season one it was cruel and unforgiving, most champions couldn't jungle. The few that could were champions like Udyr and Warwick (those were the two go-to junglers)

When other champions were released like Nocturne they tuned down the jungle. Over time, other champs were being released like Shyvana and Hecarim which could do the jungle only because it had been so drastically tuned down. They added the health boost on camp kill, etc etc

Now they're finally turning up the jungle again to match the decision making you had to make in season one. I'm happy about that, because a harder jungle is healthier for play.

No longer can you say "Got their flash, gank successful."

yeah im having trouble finding time to gank. i hate leaving camps up because i know the cooldowns are long and if i dont farm em immediately i'll be missing out on a lot in the long run, but multiple times i've looked at the game timer and thought to myself 'wtf its X minutes and i've only ganked 1 lane'

its as kuroi said i guess. you have to make the meaningful choice of leaving that camp up to go and hit a lane. it seems especially more harmful in this jungle due to how little experience and gold it feels like you get from farming, so if your ganks are unsuccessful it hurts you even more than it used to.

i like to play diana jungle so unless i see a countergank opportunity i usually dont do a whole lot pre6 other than ward for my laners. i've found post 6 since i have a short ult cooldown that it's best to just hit as many lanes as quickly as possible, let your whole jungle respawn, and then rush through it as quickly as possible before recalling so that on your return trip you can choose between ganking or farming again.

if i were to give you advice (and please take it with a grain of salt because i consider myself much better in lane than in the jungle right now) it would be this; figure out your specific champion's big power spike and work around it. if you have a high cooldown ulti with high kill potential then make sure it's on cooldown as frequently as possible (as in, gank every time it's up). if you have a low cooldown ulti then gank in sustained spurts (as i do with diana where i basically just go in a lane, fish for a kill, and if i dont get it immediately move to a different lane to try again because my ulti resets and has a ~20 second cooldown_
