At least one good thing in the 5.4 Patch

I agree that a log of the changes seem like another bundle of, "we know this doesn't fix things for champion x, so let's just ruin them and then come back to "fix" them sooner or later (or maybe never.)" (Think: Kassadin, Veigar.)

HOWEVER.

The Zilean changes are nice.

The bomb is harder to land but is also more rewarding, though with less damage. The effectiveness of the speed/slow improving rather than the duration improving with rank feels much more useful. However, he wasn't made overbearing: His passive is still short-ranged, so it doesn't have the problematic global-advantage implications anymore. His ult was given a little more counterplay, by being shortened to 5 seconds from 7.

Top that off with nice new ability icons and good VFX, as well as the fact that he's funner to play now, and I think this stands out as at least the one thing from 5.4 we should commend Riot on.
