Why and How to Nerf AP Malphite
AP Malphite has always been a particularly annoying thing to face, but once upon a time, the only place you would ever see it was in urf, where weird, unorthodox tactics and builds that wouldn't normally work are encouraged.
But somehow, AP Malphite has made it into mainstream gameplay. I never go a day without seeing it, and every time i do, it's grossly overpowered. This character that is created to be a physical damage sponge is somehow a functioning AP Assassin. If you get hit by his ult, which covers a massive area, that's it. You're gonna get hit by his full combo no matter what you do from there, and you're dead. Granted, this is generally how assassins work, but most assassins don't have a massive AOE crowd control ability that also does massive damage. And, again, Malhpite isn't SUPPOSED to be an assassin.
My propositions for potential solutions are thus:

Nerf Malphite's AP scaling. Drastically. This is probably not the best solution, since it would take away from the fun URF build and discourage variant gameplay

In conjunction with the above, or in replacement of it, add or change scaling with max health and armor. Given his passive, Malphite is already designed with Armor in mind. Why not double down on this and make Malphites abilities scale with Armor and Max HP?

In conjuction with the above, or in replacement, change Malphite's abilities from flat damage to percent health damage. This is probably the best solution, as most tanks in the game already have this, and not only would it still allow for AP scaling and variant builds, but it could also strengthen Malphite's position as a viable tank.
