@Riot, Please read this, lets talk about rare gems and Hextech Annie for Hextech Crafting.

Hextech Crafting is all the rave right now, and there is no doubt a lot of players are seeking to obtain Hextech Annie. But I think we can all agree that the price for getting Hextech Annie is just to high for both in game time and for real money.

For those who got lucky and got the Hextech Annie skin shard (Which as I understand was never intended to be a thing and ended up in the system as a glitch.) Congratz, this thread does not apply to you. However as an Annie main my appreciation for the champion drives me and others to obtain this skin.

This is where I find Hextech crafting fails at what its supposed to do. Hextech crafting was stated to be a system that allowed players to obtain discounted content as a reward for playing the game while locking out toxic players from using it.

When it comes to Rare Gems and Hextech Annie, this system actually does the complete opposite of what its intended to do. it instead punishes those using the system by forcing them to spend more for a skin that they would really like. Why is that though?

-We know you need 10 rare gems to obtain hextech Annie. -We know Rare gems will drop once in about every 20-30+ chests. sometimes you'll get 2 and maybe 3 within that time frame if you are super lucky. -50 hextech chests and key's cost about 9750 RP (Using the 10 chest bundle price) which ammounts to about $100 -so assuming you are lucky and you get 2 gems every 30 chests you need about 300 chests to get 10 gems. -300 chests using the bundle amounts to 58'500RP -Which translates into just a little over $500 dollars.

Doesn't Riot think that is just a LITTLE bit crazy for a skin? That puts Hextech Annie as the most expensive LoL skin in the history of the game..

The main problem with this is the.

a) the drop rate of gems is just high. and b) the cost of gemes for Hextech Annie is just to much.

With that said I think Riot could fix this issue by addressing one of those 2 things and tweaking them.

1. Keep rare gem drop rate the same but lower the cost of Hextech Annie from 10 to 5. or
2. Raise the drop rate of rare gems and keep the cost of Hextech Annie at 10.

Addressing just one of those will help players with who are poor to mid tier spenders like myself at least have a chance to obtain the skin, because right now Hextech Annie is a skin that can only be enjoyed by the richest players of the players base.
