My Opinion on League as a Newbie

Welp, here it goes.

I started to play League in January 2016, and I just can't seem to have fun on it anymore. I raise IP to buy a new champion, rinse and repeat. Try to get better, watch pro games, trying to fit in. Pro games are constantly thrown in my face wherever I go on Youtube, the League client and it can get tiresome to see the same thing every single day.

As for the new Hextech crafting, I don't understand why playing with friends is rewarded upon? I have little friends on the game, and I feel like I'm encouraged to fight OP parties of people that just happen to get put in my Solo Queue draft games. It's not fun when I see a platinum when I'm unranked.

The gameplay itself can get repetitive. I'm playing new champions a bit trying not to get bored of the previous ones which usually helps, but nothing much changes in general. There will always be a toxic player, the people I fight will always be better, there will always be an AFK. After all that happening day after day, you just kinda' get bored.

I tried to play every day for fun, but I always find my self leaving with neutral or angered/sad emotions. Very rarely am I ever happy while playing the game.

I felt the same as you, until I met someone who mentored me, and is now my best friend. If I didn't have him, I wouldn't have continued playing either, for the same reasons you listed. Sorry you are feeling down about the game, but I get it. I was lucky, maybe you will be too.

Some to most days the game is frustrating. The trolls and feeders and Alf problems won't go away. This is how I look at if, who cares? The game isn't built around those type of people or the Tryhard players. Play for fun get good at a champ and play another one so you don't get bored of the champ. For game modes, that is pretty slim picking. Even the rift is old, aram is bots and twisted is small and plain. So it is what it is. All you can do is make the best of it and just have fun. The game isn't bad, I find a reason to play everyday.
