As an Ekko main that goes top/mid lane, Garen is probably the most annoying champion to fight against. I can't seem to find any way to counter him. Nothing works!
I Q for Time winder to slow him, and as it's about to come back, I E in and get my passive proc'd, and that's about the only damage I can do. I can't even play that passive because he tanks the tower itself.
Any Ekko to Garen counters? And will he ever get nerfed?
From my experience, 
if played right, can beat 
fairly easily. He outscales pretty hard, and he cant beat the hemorrhage.

I play Kennen top and can beat him.
I dont think Garen will be nerfed just because you lose against him by using 1 out of 10+ top lane champions, especially when his origin is being a mid laner.
Well Garen is meant to be a super early game bully! That's basically all he has going for him, lane domination. Renekton is in a similar place, where he destroys lane and is good early/mid game but then can't do much later.
For Ekko vs Garen tips, I'd say just bite the bullet early on and get what farm you can. You're not gonna kill him early unless he messes up badly, so just farm. There's nothing wrong with just farming and having no kills/deaths, especially in top lane, where it's an island. You don't have to go for kills.
you seriously cant beat him on ekko? hes probably one of the hardest counters.
if you have trouble beating a garen on that champion, maybe top lane isnt for you.
