Players who pick a secondary role they can't play in dynamic que?

I've been noticing a trend of players who pick a secondary role they are unable to play and they do not communicate that in champion select. Its like after the release of dynamic queue, people forgot that they can still ask to swap roles in champion select. What's more is that due to the whole idea of picking your 1st preferred role and a secondary role, some players completely throw out the idea of trying to learn more than 1 role. If they don't get their role, they'll perform at a mediocre skill level below their elo. Thoughts on this?

Define "unable" to play.

I can play my secondary, which is mid, but I have significantly less experience on it than my primary, which is support, (and the reason is quite simple, it is significantly harder to get mid and therefore practice it than support) so if I get back to plat where I was in that one season where I did more than just placements, odds are my mid is going to be sub-par compared to what people would expect from their mid laner at this elo (especially if I face someone who does main mid).

So what I'll do is pick a team-oriented mid, play safe and go even in farm, but don't expect me to out-lane the living F out of a plat mid laner main, kill him 10 times and out-rotate him every time. I'll hold my own and not feed him, that's what I can offer to you.

They're either consistently missing their spells or they're dying constantly in lane to the 1v1 or 2v2.

Teammate A: yo can someone swap with me I can't play this role. Teammates : why dafuq did you choose it then. Teammate A: my 2ndary was fill. Teammates : ...

It's not a surprise that ppl who don't get their main roles perform much worse, simply because different roles demand different skills. Take me as an example.

  • I'm more comfortable setting things up or peeling for team, so my support is about silver II tier.
  • As a junglar I can farm safe and set things up whenever I gank or team fight, but I lack map awareness and foresight so I'm around silver III.
  • I feel nervous on high-risk-high-reward champs and may mess things up, so when I play mid to burst squishies or top to dive backline I don't find success all the time, leaving me at silver IV level.
  • I can't aim and click. I tend to click on a minion when I'm trying to attack enemy champ. I suck at kiting and I tend to walk toward enemy that I'm trying to kite away from when I attempt to auto as I run. If I play adc you'll be seeing a bronze II on your team.

I usually pick support cause I've been stuck with it forever, and I don't mind that. But I do try all the different roles. Everyone should so they can be more vercitile in game.
