Follow the Leader

As a Bronze ADC main I'm just trying to figure out what the heck I do after 30-minutes when my team can't agree where to go or what to do. I know it's never a good move to try and solo objectives that late in the game, so I always play follow the leader, pick a team mate, and stick with them. I know there's no way I can win at my skill level in a 2v5 fight. It just seems like the biggest problem here at the bottom of the barrel is that once the late-game arrives no one really has a clue what to do, myself included sometimes.
People can't ever seem to agree on what to do, where to group, or what objective to take. I'm not a knowledgeable enough of a player to really give any input myself, so I find myself stuck in limbo following people around aimlessly, sometimes making plays that even I would consider too risky or downright stupid just for the sake of keeping the group together.
I'm winding up in a LOT of games that go past 40-minutes, and I know this should rarely happen. When no one knows what to do it's not like there's much time to sit down and have a conversation about it over a cup of coffee.
This is typically how it goes ─
Top: "Take Baron!" Mid: "No, take Elder!" JG: "Group Mid!" Supp: "Split push top!" Me: "I'm so confused."
Can we designate a team captain or something? A head honcho? A man in charge? A guy to call the shots, you know, like the Korean people .... do .... so ... we don't .. have to ... argue ... and sit here wasting time .... being confused?
