"Those nerfs/buffs weren't enough! QQ"
Before you make one of these threads. Consider the following.
Extraneous nerfs or buffs are met with harsh criticism and often are worse for the game than not nerfing or buffing something at all.
More goes into balance than one champion, item or mastery's numbers or design. Take the upcomibg Lee Sin nerfs. People are QQing because Riot answered their pleas and nerfed him. Instead of being pleased "It isn't good enough!" Like pissy children after Christmas.
But nobody is taking into account that Lee is being nerfed ON TOP of jungle nerfs ON TOP of a myriad of other changes/nerfs/buffs to items, champions, lanes, camps, etc. And also in planning for other changes in upcoming patches to follow.
Riot plans in advance. They fuck up, they are human. But they aren't just using some personal experience combined with a misread badly interpreted champion.gg page to make their decisions. They use a collection of advisors, meetings, data and proplay to try to appease community and business needs(they like making money after all).
Many rage posts become popular on the boards even when the simple data like win rates and play rates don't back them up. Let alone more in depth data like how it pans out across ranks, how experienced that champion's playerbase is effecting them, what minor meta factors are bloating or deflating numbers, which items will be nerfed two patches from now.
I'm not saying never complain. I do. But these "GUTGUTGUT!" Posts or posts of the opposite suggesting absurd buffs after buffs. Are ridiculous. It takes time and testing in a patch before Riot can make future decisions. I'd prefer gradual nerfs and buffs than what the boards suggest be done.
), but that's not a good thing.
