So who’s a good champion right now?
I can’t really tell because they all feel weak. I think melee champions are the best right now, but 5 min in they don’t seem good and 10 mins later they are...I just don’t know.

Kaisa is Godtier at everything. Has no weaknesses. Is easy to play.
Without useless blanket statements like "mages and assassins" or just recommending a champ that recently annoyed me, how about I try some actual advice.
It's actually hard to tell what roles you prefer since you don't have too many game recorded recently, but if you're looking for the champs most likely to win games in silver elo then the following are the top 5 highest winrates in order.
Jungle
Mid
ADC
Support
Top
But it also depends on what you like most and whta kind of champs feel more natural to you. Just because tank junglers dominate your elo doesn't mean you'll perform well if you don't know how to play a tank.

Honestly, don't worry too much about classifications. Koggles is fairly weak but kaisa is reasonably strong (or was until last patch, been pretty busy), both being mixed damage super scaling adcs. Xayah is also good though, and she's quite immobile like kog. Hook supports are all doing pretty great right now, but tank supports are super hit or miss (kinda forgot braum was a champ for a bit). Even popularity is a weird metric, scarner mains are putting up some good numbers meanwhile ezreal has like a 46% winrate and people still flock to him.
I'd recommend avoiding champs with the 44% win rates because they've been gutted for high level play, although they can be rewarding if you really put the effort in. Beyond that, afaik every champ has a good winrate on dedicated mains, find something you enjoy, learn it through and through, and make it op in your hands.
The only champion with no meaningful weaknesses. His only counter is to hope the one playing him is trash.
