Anyone ever buys Iceborn Gauntlet over any item anymore?

It's been ages since I saw this item in game. It usually was just me buying it as Skarner, but since Preseason with Tforce giving CDR I'd rather have that after my Cinderhulk.

Even most Blitzcranks I see are taking Frozen Hearth over that.

Maybe the item requires tweaks? or is it being overshadow'd by others?

it works really well on illaoi. Gives her a ton of mana, and she can keep ontop of people with a maxed w.

It's useful on lulu imo. Not nearly as much as it was because it doesn't grant AP anymore, but combined with her skills can make it extremely easy to escape because of all the slows, and the defense and CDR is always welcome.

basically it is in a place where it is good but Trinity or frozen heart is better for any given champ.

Also there is the fact that tanks have a fair number of CDR options and when you have FH, and SV already that wasted 10% CDR is not really attractive.

I honestly would have rather seen Sheen get 5% movement speed instead of the CDR since that would have better opened up trinity to have something else in place of a zeal. I do not see marksmen tending to get Trinity ever (might change when shiv and rapidfire no longer stack.) but I still see it on a fighters who as long as they have higher base AD then marksmen will always benefit from it more.

And if IBG had 10% CDR and 5% movement speed instead of the current 20% CDR it would actually be something that tanky champs would consider getting more often since it would be something they otherwise have a hard time getting.
