Bloodthirster - Improving its Build Path

Currently, on most champions, Bloodthirster is a rather bad first buy. Especially when compared to IE and BotRK. Why?

The reason lies in the relatively bad build path. Bloodthirster currently is about as difficult a buy as Infinity Edge, without giving as much power in its components, and with a higher combination cost on top of featuring one of the most expensive items in the game as a component ( ).

So, what if BT was made 100 gold more expensive (to offset the better build path), but had a second added to its recipe?

You think this is a reasonable idea?

I would like it more if their was attack speed built into to help with the passive

That would be nice but I want more hybrid items. They got rid of rage blade only leaving gunblade behind

item 3124 is still in the game, it's not gone at all. item 3146 item 3078 are still the 3 hybrid items.

Oh really? huh well I was proved wrong. I thought there was talk of taking it out and they did. I didn't look for it anymore after that

The reason why BT is a bad first buy is the high cost, and it doesn't give as much damage as Infinity Edge. It has little to do with the build path. Lots of ADCs (not named Vayne) will wait to finish BT, at most buying a vampiric sceptre since it works well enough.
