The current meta is all about ADCs and supports. If your ADC falls behind then you're next to screwed. Why doesnt bot lane (both ADC and support) and mid lane swap? A shorter lane makes it easier for the ADCs to reach safety, better warding spots for supports, and will make mid-lane action occur much more often because both side lanes will want to roam mid to get into the fight. It would also position the duo to take Rift Herald for stronger pushing.

Honestly if mid and bot swapped lanes there would be so much more action and not as much boring silence. The game might actually get a bit of a fun spark back into it again.

You dont insta lose if your adc is behind, if they play smart and farm up it would make the lane even no matter how many kills the enemy ad has. most adcs are based around late game teamfighting, so if your adc knows how to position correctly your team can make a comeback. and about the mid/adc support swap, its not too good because the lane has so many flank spots that even if you had wards its really hard to not die, also diving champs like rengar and renekton can easily dive if they are ahead enough. its all based on how safe you play if you know your gonna get dove its probably a good idea to stay around someone who could peel. also the position to rift herald happens alot most of the time bot and top will switch as top has a better chance of split pushing allowing the adc to head topside around baron (aka lane swap) they used to do it alot in lcs.

Top and bot lane swapped up until bot lane towers became more squishy, after that it forced bot laners to stay bot or they hand over 1st blood tower gold.

it still allows toplaners like jax to lane swap because how good his dps is against towers

bot laners also dont have to stay bot because first tower gold can be earned anywhere as long as you play the waves correctly

Beleive it or not no one made it a rule that mid lane has to be a solo lane and not a duo. You're free to do it and prove everyone it's better and the meta Will change. I don't think it's gonna happen though. Most champion kits are designed to thrive in the lane That they raditionally go to. It makes sense to have roaming assassins/mages mid so they can easily impact top or bottom at any given second. A twisted fate, tailyah, talon, lux, xereth and so on want to be able to go to a lane on the left or the right to snowball. Adcs with the exception of twitch don't have abilities that make effective roams. Also an adc wants a long lane to farm in. If an adc takes mid tower too quick then they can't farm without being overextended for a gank from any angle. In a long lane you have the edge of the map where you know no jungle is coming from. It's easier to farm a side lane and adcs rely on farm more than anything. That's why lane swaps were such a big thing in the past because top lane and bot cian both support a duo and are close to objectives.You can still swap up top if you win lane and are set up to take fit harold. I don't know what you mean by better warding spots for supports. Everyone needs to be warding at the place were vision is needed. Right now the jungle and mid should be securing vision around middle and in enemy jg. Adc and support need to control Dragon and enemy bot side jungle and top also irks with jungle to control around top side jungle. A supports wards are no more valuable than the other players wards. I think there would be less action considering what I outlined about roaming champs. Under your uggestion they can only roam to one lane as opposed to 2 side lanes and easy access to the jungle

dont tell anyone this but EXACTLY what you just mentioned is a booster strat used every now again. Send your carry mid with the support and push the lane fast as fuck. Between waves take raptors or wolves. If done properly your carry will excel in farm and exp allowing them to get 1 extra item before midgame off the jungle gold. This strategy works 10X better if you pick a hyper carry and have your support go SMITE for extra leash power allowing you to do buffs as well . Once you gather a big enough lead just PUSH MID and dont relent. the power gap will be so huge that the amount of coordination needed to stop you will often be un-available in soloQ
