Why do people use Normals as an excuse to make mistakes?

I never understood that... We had a coach in one of those games who were trying to coach someone, and the other guy who keeps throwing the game is just not listening and say it's just Normal man Relax. He literally just dives the ennemie backline after throwing his leads.

Because... it's the place you want to make mistakes and learn from them?

However, there's a difference between someone trolling, attempting to push the limit of their champion to see what they can do, and straight up just being bad.

When I make a dumb mistake in a normal and someone starts flaming me, that's my go to response. "Relax man it's just a normal". It's not necessarily because I'm not trying, however, I'd much rather make these mistakes in a normal where it doesn't really matter if I win or lose. Ofc I want to win, but it doesn't mean I have to take it seriously like I'm about to go play in the LCS. You feel?

Edit: People also attempt to have fun in norms. A lot of people consider it trolling, but sometimes someone wants to see how much they can push the limits of their champion. Sometimes Amumu wants to dive and see if he can get a penta with a 5 man ult. Sometimes, someone chases because they want to see if they can, sometimes they are just enjoying themselves and trying to enjoy the game in the way they know how. Ofc, running it down mid and dying over and over is trolling, but sometimes people tunnel and do dumb things. Sometimes people are learning the champ and they just... make a really dumb mistake. And sometimes people just want to sit back and try something fun without the pressure of losing lp. Shit, I play Syndra support in norms when I can (usually when I'm with my adc). And I get shit all the time for it. Because people think I'm trolling. However, I do really well and I have a lot of fun with it. I don't intentionally feed, I'm helpful, but people still get mad at me for doing it. But it's just normals. Even if I were to suck at it, you aren't losing lp. It's something I want to try, I'm trying, it's not the most viable thing in the world, but she provides great cc with her stun. It's stuff like that.
